The original 1-7 for the East and West aren't rankings. They're just listings. Despite the fact I'm an LSU fan, Mett is NOT the #2 QB in the SEC or in SEC West. I gave you factual rankings in other categories and leave it up to you and everyone else to decide the 1-14 rankings as complete QBs

I'm assuming you're talking about Nick Marshall. I hadn't heard much hype about him but after looking up his credentials, I have a feeling he would be an upgrade over Frazier from an athletic perspective. But despite tossing over 3,100 yards last season and 18 TDs in 11 games, he also had an underwhelming completion percentage of 57.1%, and a horrible 20 INTs. As a true passing QB, I'm not sure he's a much better option, but is probably a better athlete who could potentially run the read-option well.

Shaw ran a 4.53 coming out of HS at a Rivals camp. He's at around a 4.5 now and is the fastest QB in the conference.

If mett was middle of the pack sec last year, I think with more experience, cam running the offense, a better line and more experienced receivers, he will crush his stats from last year.

James Franklin is better than Driskel.
I'm not a Franklin fan but this is 100% accurate. Franklin may end up as the 2nd best QB in the east if he's healthy. His numbers weren't that far off and I'd bet he barely played 50% of the snaps. I know he tried to come back in the Vandy game and started but couldn't get through the first quarter.

Shaw started more than half the games in '11 so its technically his 3rd year as a starter. 20 starts with a 17-3 record

Yeah, the OP info regarding Shaw is basically mentally challenged....Garcia was a legit 4.7 40 guy, so was Smelley, Beecher, even Blake Mitchell was a legit 4.7 40 guy. ConnOr Shaw is a legit 4.5 40 guy, and he has been since high school. Shaw owns all the USC program's 40-yard dash records for the QB position (don't know how far back they go). The idea that Driskell could out-run Shaw in a 40-yd dash is just laughable.
And Shaw has now been a starter for 2.5 seasons, becoming the regular starter versus UK in the 6th game of 2011, a 13-game season. I don't know about fastest QB in the SEC but he's a legit 4.5-40 QB....
Connor Shaw 64-yd Run vs Michigan
Connor Shaw 80-yd TD Run vs Missouri

Thanks for the info on Shaw. I should have put 2nd year full time starter and at least 3rd year contributor but I couldn't find how late in the season Shaw came in for Garcia, so I stuck with 2nd year full-time starter

The 4.70 is a typo I missed and just went with while putting up the miscellaneous rankings. Thanks for pointing it out.
I know he ran that 4.53 coming out of high school, but since then has put on 10 lbs and presumably will continue to add weight (mainly in muscle) if he has any intention of being drafted to play QB at the next level.
I think he'll continue to put on weight and run in the low 4.6s, if not a 4.60 at the end of the season if he gets an invite to the combine or at his Pro day.
