Hey, Ptins944
Look how the Poors coming in with their Poors take on Arch.

I don't think it has anything to do with Sark evaluating kids. He did a good job convincing the Manning family Texas was the right place to be. Arch was always going to stay wherever he committed to imo barring him not winning the job eventually
Yeah, I know where I'm posting and who is reading it. Arch was willing to sit one year so he could play two, and accepted the idea of sitting two years to play two. He also stated very publicly that he would not take NIL moneys until he started. What he did take he donated to charity. He waited his turn, and his time has come.

I wasn't talking about evaluating kids, just that Sark had the wisdom to also evaluate the parents. Character, and if they will fit in the locker room, is evaluated before they come to campus. NIL is the last thing Sark talks about before they leave campus. There have been a number of highly ranked kids that never got invited to campus, because they made it about NIL.

Most people here couldn't judge character of it jumped up and bit them in the arse.

Johntay Cook was a 5* WR. He dropped a couple of passes and was demoted. He pouted and acted like a bitch, and was dismissed from the team mid season. Not surprising. He was a high level performer and media diva before he got here. He forgot about the performing at a high level part.

Heupel said no player was bigger than the team. Good for him. I wonder what he said when he agreed to play that player and his helicopter dad $8,000,000? Who woulda thunk?

Sark has not promised or given one recruit a starting job, without them earning it. Not Kelvin Banks, not Ant Hill, not Collin Simmons, not Johntay, and certainly not Arch.

That says more about Texas then money.

Arch was wanted by pretty much everybody. Sark didn't have any inside baseball knowledge here

No one would ever confuse Cooper Manning with "Nico I'm a leaving's" dad.

75% of the posters here think the only reason Arch was ranked so high was because of his name.

The guy whose family was already loaded from a couple generations worth of NFL wealth? Shocker.

Cooper didn’t play in the NFL, genius.

Baker's dad had connections to OU coaches and former players when Baker was a kid and brought him to games.

Makes you wonder what made Arch like Texas when he was a kid.

I have a nephew who became an Oklahoma State fan because when he was a little kid he liked the color orange. This despite the fact that everybody in the family was OU.

Baker didn't grow up in Austin. He didn't grow up til he left Cleveland. And Lake Travis is near Austin, but it certainly in not representative of Austin.

Growing up in the 60's-70's, I wanted to live on Lake Travis. I have been over to the Lake Travis HS area twice in the past 10 years, and that was twice too many.

LTHS and the area surrounding it is 90+% transplants. Kids there want to go to TTech, OU, and Ohio State.

When you want to ridicule "Austin", start here.

I read that Cooper Manning has a life long friend that used to send Arch Texas stuff all the time since he was young.

Over the years, he grew into it.

He has been all Texas since he got here.
