Sounds like Leatherwood actually cares about representing his school while Thomas bailed on his team before the bowl game

What an asinine, idiotic comment

No one is in it for their School

They are all in it for themselves

Elite students in Chemistry and Biology aren't in it for their School, they're in it for themselves so they can make that next step in life which is to advance to places like Johns Hopkins Medical School or Harvard Medical School

Elite Athletes are no different, they want to advance to the:

NFL
NBA
MLB
PGA Tour, etc

Be realistic about everyone that attends College, and stop being an overly emotional idiot about the players, it's their life and their talents, they can do whatever they want with them, you can be entertained or not

Mhmm. Why did they play in the Citrus Bow then? Wills and Jeudy are surefire top 15 picks and they played. What’s your explanation for that?

You really wanna compare how many first rounders Georgia and Bama have produced? Dumbass

I didn't make that comparison you freakin twat.YOU'RE the person who made the comparison between an NC and a top 5 NFL contract and TRUST ME if Leatherwood was projected has a top 5 pick he'd be gone yesterday.

Hoping that Trumpf will keep his azz at home and not muck up traffic & logistics for those that made a huge financial sacrifice to attend is NOT being overly emotional

It's called understanding the common man

Stupidity

Young folks do stupid things, it definitely wasn't worth the risk, any draft pick with 3rd rnd talent & up should sit if you're not playing for a Title

Part of the problem is the azzhole, plantation mentality of the coaches that act like they own the players

Sitting out Bowl Games to protect draft status would be less of a controversy if HCs would come out and say STTE of:

"The University and the Athl Dept thanks these fine young men for their incredible sacrifices over the last few years, however for our upcoming Bowl Game we're gonna go with younger players in lieu of some of our draft eligible players that have decided to start their Pro careers, this will help our Program get a jump start on developing next year's squad and hopefully this will jump start our run to the CFP next season"

Instead of making similar statements, azzhole HCs allow the media & azzhole fans to trample all over young men that just finished 3 years of sacrificing their bodies to make these same azzhole HCs generationally wealthy

I think the players have sacrificed enough for the HCs to at least do that much for them

But here's the issue, the CFB Media doesn't have to have access to players to earn their paycheck, but they do need access to HCs to earn a paycheck, so the HCs always get a free pass when they pull passive aggressive azzhole stunts like they do around Bowl time when they say, "we'll only discuss the players that show up, we're not discussing the guys that aren't here"

When someone helps to make you insanely rich, the right thing to do is cut them a break and help them out with the Media & angry fan shyt-storm they face

No I think it's more entitlement from kids. They are getting a free education to college universities. It's the kids that don't care about education that sit out bowl games and focus on pro. Usually leave without a degree also. Granted they are going to make lots of money but lots still end up broke.

Idk but to me sitting out a bowl is quitting on your team.

I felt this way about Diggs and Lewis this year for Bama.

So by your logic, once a team loses during the season and has no shot for the playoffs, why play the rest of the season? Jeudy and Tua were both first round picks before the season started. Why not just skip the season once you become a junior? You make zero since. The regular season means just as much as the bowl season once you loose a game.

Are you related to Andrew?

We aren’t getting any of their money.

We’re football fans and Leatherwood helped give Alabama fans something to cheer for. Congrats on losing in wild fashion to Alabama and your top 5 draft selection.

You're 40 years too late

Many of these players finish HS early and start college in Jan, add in Summer workouts and a couple of classes during the summer Session and many players are Sophs credit wise before the Bowl Games their TFr seasons

Big time CFB Players no longer work Summer jobs, they go thru year round workouts and are constantly picking up extra classes in Summer Sessions and now thru Online classes

In summary, Graduation Rates for CFB is at an all time high and most of these guys that go Pro early are either finished or very close so they can easily Graduate after their Rookie season

Still no mention about Coaches that take new jobs and quit on their teams

Amazing how the teammates understand what Christian McCaffrey pulled, but fans like you don't, these players teammates never get mad at them for sitting out Bowl Games, but guys like you do

Think about that for a minute

Okay? And I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Once again,okay?

Were you not following the discussion?
Solo was comparing a NC to a player having a top 5 payday and if Leatherwood was in the same situation as Thomas I can assure he'd leave. Why wouldn't he?

I think lots of kids make mistakes leaving early but if you're assured top 5/10 money you'd be an idiot not to leave.

Uh no

The regular season isn't an exhibition, plus the regular season is a microcosm of what they'll do in the NFL which is playing with 1 week prep time in between games

Also, you have to have a certain body of work to have the resume to be an NFL Prospect to start with, so while the Reg season is OK playing a meaningless exhibition after a 1 month layoff isn't a good idea

BTW, shutting it down in the Regular season didn't hurt Bosa and Clowney

If Houston's D'Eriq King was in the Portal you think any of these Fans that wish their Team had a better dual threat QB would say, "don't want him, he shut it down early & turned his back on his teammates"?

Of course not

Don't be so damn uptight, simply change with the times

Should Burrow skip the natty? It’s a pretty meaningless game if you are pretty much a #1 draft pick. You’ve had over two weeks of just sitting around and no contact. Who cares what they decide. None of them care about you or I. It’s also very rare that a player gets seriously hurt.

Georgia is cleaning up with OL recruiting and will continue to do so.

What do you have to show for it? I'll wait..

But I'm old and I don't have 40 years left so try and hurry.
