FSU loses their heart and soul along with a possible Heisman winner in the first game, inserts a true freshman, and you think it will not effect the team on both sides?
I do not think even FSU fans believe that.
Actually just about every FSU fan believes that......

Out of the 14 loses Alabama has suffered under Coach Saban since, 6 of them came when Alabama had more than a week to prepare.....so almost half
Coach Saban is the GOAT college football coach, but at least research before posting.....
Post the prep time with those loses.
The minimum was 9 days, Clemson
The LSU losses were two weeks
Utah, Oklahoma, and Ohio State were several weeks

So 10 of the 14 loses had two weeks or less prep time. And the Bama fans claim the Utah and OU games were caused by the players and coaches not caring. So that just leaves the OSU Game as unexplainable.

Do the math again........

That's 79% of his losses coming when he has 2 or less weeks to prepare. Weird that about 80% of his losses come with 2 or less weeks to prepare when the amount of games played with 2 weeks or less to prepare is around 80% of games played

Most of their losses were close. I think it's fair to say that they would've gone at least 9-3 with Frenchy over a true frosh who should've been #4 on the depth chart.

Who gets the automatic bids ?

Not the conference champs (except for the ACC).

Only because of the ACC Schedule. Claiming they were a top 3 team otherwise is a joke. Again, UF scored 22 points on them.

Good thing I didn't claim that.

The leagues recognizes their tournament champs as their automatic bids, not the NCAA. They do it to justify having a Conference Tournament. The NCAA still gives automatic bids to whoever the leagues choose as their champions.

lol.....
His math is wrong...
Alabama has lost 6 games with 9 or more days between games
Alabama has lost 8 games with a week or less between games
Statistically it is a wash (42.8% vs 57.1%)

What is Saban's record when he has 2 weeks (after open game) or more to prep ?

He used the two week mark. Which fits the pre-season, open week and Bowl prep scenario.

It's less about time to prep than it was about injuries. Bama was completely beaten up when they played the Iron Bowl and Clemson got a fully healthy Bama team.
I will say that it was finally sinking in with Saban that after the Iron Bowl, Hurts probably wasn't going to be able to get it done in the playoffs. We were able to handle Clemson easily but the staff decided that Tua had to be ready to and expect to play. So I would say getting Tua prepped and getting our starters back were the factors not prep time.
