Actually Alabama plays Penn State, Florida, and Arkansas within the first six games. We'll know fairly quick.

But still, hard to argue with 3 out of the last 4 years winning 13 games and 2 national titles.

Stay on subject.

Last year Florida was that best thing since sliced bread. Couldn't be beat. Not only did they return Tebow, and the 11 starters on D. They returned all of their defensive backups, too. Best team ever, just like their class was the best ever.

"9 new faces on defense"

Hate to be the one to break it to you. But they won't be "new faces". Everyone one of them played this year and played a lot. Idk the exact number, but I'd bet on average we had 20 guys play defense in every game this year. Those guys will now slide into starting positions.

And they lost.
Just like Alabama will lose in 2010.
Every year is different.

And we haven't even talked about the whole issue regarding "staying hungry."

All year long, we heard from Bama players how they wanted to get back and get redemption for losing to Florida in 2008. They played hard and earned their shot and took advantage.

What drives this team now?

Maybe another one of these:

Marcel Dareus
Luther Davis
Josh Chapman
Jerrell Harris
Dont'a Hightower
Courtney Upshaw
Nico Johnson

All of those guys in the front seven have loads of experience, and Dareus, Chapman, Hightower, and Johnson have starting experience. The run defense will be solid again, and the pass rush will arguably be better, helping a new secondary.

As for the secondary, it will have two experienced safeties, in Barron and Green. The corners will be green, but Phelon Jones does have starting experience, while at LSU.

Great. Then Alabama will be good. Thanks for stating the obvoius. But they won't win a championship.

You should be able to win by just throwing your jersey on the field, saban should just cancel practice
