That's so awful. My heart breaks for all these families that are going through this today. I'm thankful you and your little one are ok. You know if yall need anything, you've just got to say the word. And the other guy was right.. fill up some containers for drinking water tonight, there will be a chance of not having some for a few days with the devastation that's hit.

Prayers for those affected. I will say, it's pretty neat to have this information all here on an LSU forum where we often debate each other. We all have our favorite teams but in times like these you obviously toss fan affiliation out the window and realize we're all on the same team in this.
I do think itd be great for others from around the SEC to go help folks in Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas, sporting their own team colors (LSU fans wear LSU gear, Auburn wear War Eagle gear, etc), to show the unity behind the help.
God speed.

Anyone needing anything, let me know. Even if you are having trouble contacting family members and you need someone to check on them. Thankfully me and mine were spared and we have power.

Tornado that started in Tuscaloosa is now in Asheville, NC. That is some crazy shite. Not to mention Asheville is where I am originally from! Hope my family is okay!

Patch of red stuff about to hit Auburn according to radar. Should be okay for a lil bit after that.

anyone got a count on the total number of Tornadoes that touched down? Another interesting stat would be what amount of time were tornadoes actually touching the ground across the south/east coast today and into tonight. The number would have to be insane.

I saw the National Guard was sent to aid. If they hand out MREs, take them. With the power outages and possibly no water, might be hard to get something to eat.

The Birmingham Water Works has announced they are suffering power outages at at least two of their facilities. They are asking people to conserve water and only use it for critical purposes as it could be between 24-48 hours until power is restored.
And from a TVA engineer:

we dropped 6 separate 500kv lines and 27 161kv lines in the TVA system from Mississippi to Tennessee.

Did the school set up a number you can check on family members that are at Alabama? I have a cousin down there. Our phones just came back up and no one has heard from him.
