It is becoming a tradition that Alabama self-reports its yearly NCAA violations during the Fourth of July weekend, and the Tide were at it again this year.

For the 2018-19 year, the Tide reported 16 minor violations, including two against the football team.

Per AL.com, both football violations involved an assistant having impermissible contact with a recruit:

The first was for an assistant coach calling a recruit twice in a week outside of a contact period. The other was for an assistant contacting a recruit outside of the permissible periods. The assistant, who was not named, was not allowed to recruit off campus for 30 days.

Obviously, none of these are major, so no further penalties are likely to be imposed against the Tide

It's good to see a program that is upfront and honest about any transgressions it may have committed.

Wait where’s the wire tap?

And the coaching giving the school an ultimatum?

This is boring. I’m leaving

I think you'd better be upfront and honest about your cheating or it'll be the NCAA white coats comin' after ya to throw ya in the DEATH PENALTY CHAMBER.

Gosh, y'all cheat so much and are PROUD of it.

What is the worst penalty Bama has ever received? Like it or not, they are the blue blood of the NCAA. They are never going to get a death penalty. Though I do appreciate them reporting their minor infractions (e.g. scraps).

It's good to see an open an honest program with transparency.

Unlike some that have to be wiretapped.
Just today Forde said he expects LSU and AU to get NOAs this month.

I’m so damn proud to be a fan of such a morally good university. Bama does it the right way. You won’t see any recruits getting paid more than the rookie minimum and you won’t see boosters taking money from sick kids to give to Football players either.

Such a great university

Thanks baw. But we both know that is chump change. A slap on the wrist. Bama for football. Kentucky for basketball. The blue bloods are never (truly) held accountable.

It's weird to hear people say this because I grew up calling the NCAA the "National Conspiracy Against Alabama".

I don't think Alabama has ever caught a break by the NCAA. They vacated 3 seasons over some stupid arse textbooks.

Fair enough. I do not pretend to know Bama history. What was the record you had for those three seasons? Did you lose anything meaningful from those vacated wins/seasons?

Don't usually take up for Bama- but that Text book crap was a bit silly.
