Statistically speaking, how many coaches did y'all whiff on before you settled for a G5 coach?

PFF metric details
quote:
Today’s focus is overall accuracy at various levels of separation. When it comes to separation, we are using three basic buckets: open, step/closing and tight. An “open” throw is generally two-plus steps of separation while “step/closing” is best described as a receiver having up to two steps of separation, either running away from a defender (step) or with a defender closing on a play (closing). Since “step” and “closing” are similar in terms of the level of separation, they have been placed in the same bucket. “Tight” throws are defined by a defender being within an arm’s length of the receiver, or in the right spot in a passing window so as to discourage the throw.
Remember: This is all about the actual ball location of the pass, not just throwing a “catchable” pass. We’ve proven the importance of ball location with regard to yards after the catch and expected points added, so putting the ball in the right spot is crucial in order to optimize success.

He's just shocked that after all your list touting you hired a jelly of the month club member that you could have hired 5 minutes into the search.

I'm just relieved it wasn't Chizik again.

SOG seems upset also? Unlike you to deflect even when you don’t know the answer. But give it a try on the answer of the criteria of the blog site. Lol

So you're officially ignoring the metric description then?
Cool.

Just treating you the same way I treat my children after they ask a question, get the answer, repeat the question, get the answer again, then ask a different version of the same question for the 3rd time.
You said Mac doesn't throw into tight coverage and mostly throws slants (one of the more bizarre things I've heard about him). You were wrong, but you absolutely cannot under any circumstance admit that perhaps your assessment about something was off by even a little. So, you argued, asked semantical questions to lead the discussion elsewhere and then engaged with the thread troll to deflect. You aren't fooling anyone.
And yes, I think it's hysterical that your football program hired the definition of the type of coach you laugh at and even developed a catchy phrase for - especially after you played MI6 agent about it for a week.

WTF was that? Sounds like someone having a stat they like, then defining it later. LOL

I'll be honest, I don't know how anybody doesn't think Joe Burrow is a badass. I get why they troll about him, because that's what people do, but I don't believe that anybody deep down doesn't think the dude is a straight-up stud.

I fully believe he’s a once in a generation type, at least in college. LSU doesn’t win the natty with any other available QB last year IMO

No I said he is accurate, but I also said he is playing 7on 7 with chasing DBs.

He never lost 29-0 at home at least.
But he did throw enough picks to lose to an Auburn team with a true freshman QB.

Burrow’s season was still statistically better.

He's great. There's no denying that.
What kills me, though, are the people who attribute Mac's success to his surrounding teammates yet completely ignore Joe played last season with the best offensive line in football, the only RB drafted in the first round this year and three first round WRs.
Mac played the latter half of the season throwing the ball to Miller Forristall, Slade Bolden, Jahleel Billingsley and John Metchie in addition to Devonta Smith. None of those guys are near as talented as Jefferson, Chase or Marshall.
ETA: Devonta is, the rest aren't.

Burrow’s best highlights were him fighting through pressure and blitzes to make big plays.
Mac hasn’t had that really. But he’s been absolute nails on deep balls.
One style leads to more hype IMO
