No. Oklahoma is not historically better than Alabama.

Sorry if I misread. My comment was OU vs UGA.

I just did talk about it. You even replied to me talking about Oklahoma.

You've been skipping all over the place from talking about long term success to short term. Why don't you pick one, then we can stay on one subject and quit moving goalposts.

In the short term (Last two years which you referenced) Alabama is 2-1 against Georgia but but 0-2 against Oklahoma. So, Georgia's winning % is higher against Alabama's than Alabama's is against Oklahoma. So, if you want to claim Alabama is better than Georgia using that metric then you would also have to admit that Oklahoma is better than Alabama...using the last 2 years.

Then you turn and claim Alabama's 7-2 record over Georgia proves mastery of your program over Georgia...so Oklahoma is 5-1 against Alabama in approximately the same number of games, so that must mean (once again) that Oklahoma's program is superior to Alabama.

Now, you COULD argue that while Oklahoma is 5-1 against Alabama, Alabama has been winning National Championships...proving Alabama's dominance, but then you would have to admit that Georgia has taken over dominance with our last two national Championships since Alabama's last.

You seem to have painted yourself in a corner with your arguments.

I would suggest we just agree to say Alabama has the best all time program in the country historically, and that right at this time Georgia is the dominant program in the short term.

Ty will be 75% at best. TE and Overton are out

This will be a bloodbath. There is a reason not many Bama fans are going.

Sure miss Kirby's defense and Kiffin's offense.

Those were some dominant days for Alabama, for sure. No matter who Alabama was playing I always felt like they were beaten before ever stepping foot on the field. Saban head coach, Kirby Smart DC, Lane Kiffin OC.....wow. Has to be the best coaching staff at the main positions ever assembled.

In fairness, it is silly for any of us to bring up the last 10-15 years to argue what team is dominant right now. I was trying to show how silly those kinds of arguments are. If you want to prove the dominance of one program over another 5 years as as long as one should go, and it is probably better to go the present year or two.

Texas has a rich history, as does Oklahoma and, to me, Alabama is the GOAT, surpassing ND by a bit, and i definitely give Alabama the nod since they have been dominant recently.

Any person using “they are due” as an argument should hire a helper because I don’t think they are smart enough to do basic human tasks.

I think you meant this for someone else. But...Is Ty Simpson hurt, and I would never count Alabama out. PTSD on my part, I think.

Sometimes I am not too clear....probably my fault. That said...there is no question that all time Alabama, Oklahoma and a lot of other teams are better than Georgia. All time. But, in all honesty, how many would you say is better than Georgia RIGHT NOW?
Maybe OSU? They are as steady as anyone, and won the last title, so we might try to argue we are as good right now....but I'm not sure there is anyone else that can make the argument right now.

Ty Simpson has a herniated disc in his back, confirmed by the Alabama insider pod

They thought about resting him against Georgia, but decided not to because they couldn’t take the risk of being left out

They said he will be 75% at best

Yeah, I give Oklahoma and Vegtables all the credit... they've really had Bama's number.

We need to break this cycle.

OU is 8 for 8 in winning a rematch in a “ championship” game…..

Does this mean anyone should beat OU in a rematch in the playoffs?

Cry? Hardly. You totally move goalposts, but that is typically what trolls do.
You are stuck. If you want to use head to head as a barometer you would have to say Oklahoma is the better program. If you want to use recency you would have to agree Georgia has the upper hand based on the last game. If you want to say National Titles to beat Oklahoma's argument, you have to say Georgia has two since Alabama's last one. You've painted yourself into a corner.

As for crying? 28-7. Nobody wearing red and black is crying, I can assure you.

I'm not seeking validation from Oklahoma fans.

But thanks for making the case that Alabama is a better program than Georgia by pointing out Oklahoma's wins. Problem is, last time I looked, Oklahoma isn't the standard everyone has been chasing for the past 15 years.

Clemson 2
Georgia 2
Michigan 2
Nebraska 2

I love the bama vs OU dynamic. There’s something about those two teams playing that’s just badass. I wish bama vs OU was a permanent opponent over ole miss, but I understand neither program wants that extra heavy hitter matchup every year.

They've definitely had our number the past 2 years, but I don't remember them being the standard for the majority of the past 2 decades. Nor do I see Alabama fans desperate to get validation from Oklahoma fans as a result.
