Why “No Specialists”?
A lot of PK and P … suck.
Miami’s kickers fricked them hard in the NC game.
Perhaps Bama is grateful to their kicker for not letting them get shut out vs Indiana….38–3, congrats.

Bama had walk on try outs during the entire Saban era.
Yep. In the era when we couldn't find a kicker to save our lives, I drove one of my college buddies to the practice facility to try out for the team. He was a soccer player.

And? Every team does tryouts. If they don't, they should.
Every team offers high school seniors as preferred walk ons. it seems like those guys should already be identified. I guess there's not anything wrong with open tryouts, but what are the odds that you're going to find someone that no one else already knew about?

Don't be surprised if a couple are pretty good hard working players.
While Josh Jacobs was known he wasn't very highly regarded.
Obviously he didn't "walk on"

Our walk ons would still own LSU.
The wellbeing of all the sister-wives in your fanbase would depend on it for sure.
