Georgia beat UNC, who beat Pitt, who beat Clemson, so by your logic UGA would beat Clemson. I can tell first hand UGA would not, we sucked last year. The fact is FSU and Clemson are the only teams who recruit defense in your conference like the SEC, which is consequently why They are the two best teams in the ACC year in and year out. The ACC gets too much crap, they're the second best conference in football but their defense just isn't very good. Also, 3-9 South Carolina beat 11-1 UNC in 2015, so by your transitive logic South Carolina would finish only behind Clemson in the ACC, got it. Anything can happen on a given week in college football, if your logic always worked then ESPN's talking heads would get their predictions right every game, which they almost never do.
