Softball is very watchable. Especially when that chick from Florida is pitching.

It's not my favorite sport, but it's a great TV sport.

you don't see LSU fans bashing the one or two sports we aren't good in, that's the difference.

The TR during basketball season is a prime example. You'd think we were a powerhouse.

I'm not saying I'm a big softball fan. I'm just giving ways that it can be more exciting than baseball.

you sound like someone arguing that women's basketball is more exciting than men's and oh by the way that person's team sucks balls in the former and is great in the latter. Which is really what this thread is all about.

If a UT fan got on here and made that argument they'd be laughed off the board and rightfully so. You're getting the same treatment.

I have a ton of Alabama friends that care about much more than football and I have as many that don't care about any sports. That doesn't change the fact that many Alabama fans really only care about football.

That is great that you are more than just an LSU football fan. Most of my LSU friends are not that way however and don't care at all about sports outside if football.

Which IMO means you don't really care about the University of Alabama.

I'm calling bullshite on that. Not that some of those people don't exist but they are in the extreme minority.

I'm a huge UA basketball fan. I've only ever watched one or two UA women's basketball games. Comparing men's and women's basketball to baseball and softball is apples and oranges.

Not really. In basketball, they use the same dimensions and easily tell the quality of play is lower. Softball has a lot of changes when compared to baseball. Smaller field, closer bases, underhand pitching, much bigger ball, the pitcher is much closer to make the reaction times the same, etc. It evens out the quality of play.

Yes, really. The analogy is spot on and no amount of field dimensions (which vary from part to park anyway) is going to change that.

Why is that hard to believe? As a message board poster, you are already in a minority of people who care enough to seek out discussion on the athletic department on an online forum.

If the basketball attendance shows anything, it is that LSU basketball is not as well supported as the TR would have you believe. Hell, the tickets were free for students and they couldn't be bothered to show up.

Baseball really is not a game for everyone as it can have long periods of little action and no scoring. Sure there are plenty of diehards who care about most sports, but they are the minority despite what you may want to believe.

ETA: Anyone who goes into any thread about any sport saying they don't care because the sport is useless is a dipshit.

Are you really trying to say you have a better pulse of the LSU fan base than i do? I mean really?????

Nobody is saying we care about all sports equally. And also just because someone isn't at the game that doesn't mean they don't care/aren't watching or following the team closely.

You are totally out of your depth as per usual.

You guys seem to have no problem saying things like that about us. I am sharing my experience which does not match up with what you say is true about your fan base.

Wrong yet again. I am merely going by what the vast majority of you freely admit both on here and IRL.

You are either lying (most likely) or you're using a small sample size to try to show that we're no different than you are, which to anyone who knows what they are talking about is a laughable assertion made by someone who is uncomfortable with being called out on their bullshite.
