One school wants to keep a traditional rival, who just happens to be down right now.

Tennesseee hasn't been relevant for years. Florida has actually been national champions twice in the last 10 years.
I actually enjoy playing Florida every year as I think having strong competition makes it more fun for the fans, but in general I think it's only fair to just do a rotating 9 game conference schedule.
