All the great BBQ, Archibalds and Dreamland, is not near campus. No clue on starting QB. Team will be worse with new QB. Ironically 2023 will be a rebuilding year from the losses of what should have been a title favorite 2022 team.

I don’t know if the starting QB for next years team is even on campus yet. Gonna be the first time in a long time that the QB job is wide open.

As far as the overall team goes I don’t know how good or bad they will be. Having 2 new coordinators next year may help more than anything.

Dang man, never hit a single one of those in bold.

Horne's was on 15th Street. The building is no longer there thanks to the tornado. Mike and Ed's was downtown. They had a really excellent mustard sauce. The Pigg Shack was a drive-thru only place down in Taylorville. It was absolutely phenomenal. I still shed a tear whenever I think about it.

In general, the BBQ scene statewide is rather disappointing these days.

One of the first jobs I ever had was making deliveries to HVAC companies around the northern half of the state. I made a point of stopping and eating at little barbecue joints or meat and threes wherever I found them. You're right, that is a part of Alabama life that is fading, and it makes me sad.

West 6th is where UT students go.

I went the night before and night after the bama-UT game this year and man it was packed with Bama fans! Had to be like 70/30 bama/ut fans

Archibald's is the bbq answer. Don't listen to the other rubbish on that question. You'll have a good time.

Archibalds is not near campus but what 3-4 miles away? not very far, as the crow flies much less than that.
