Congrats on your mastery of Alinsky style debate tactics, if you can't win based on the merits of your argument, just resort to name calling and ridicule. Fell free to link where I was crying, I gave you credit for 9,which some would argue is on the high end

Bzzzt.... Wrong. Bama has 9 legit poll championships. No matter how many times or ways rivals try to devalue them, they are still legit - won according to the rules at the time.

If rivals doesn't want to count our historic titles, fine. But then, the other schools that count historic titles needs to wipe them out of their history too.

I don't know what you're talking about. We are CLEARLY the only team that claims pre-poll titles

The history books are where the titles from before 1936 and ones that are not AP or coaches poll belong. No need to wipe them from the record books, but no need to count them as = to modern titles either. Put them in the media guide. 9 is a fair number and yes I apply that same standard to other schools. Do people usually say the Packers have 13 NFL titles or 4 Super Bowls? What matters more now? Be proud of those teams from the 20's, but don't act like the "won" a national title because years later some group put out a list and had Bama #1.

For a group that talks about others being insecure, you guys sure act like it some time

Earlier in this thread, someone posted a link that mentions 1941 and that Bama claims that title because they were selected in 1 poll. Texas who was selected by 2 sources, but not the AP does not claim 1941.

Texas National Titles

It also mentions OU could claim 17, but only counts 7.

This is copied and pasted from the NCAA website relating to Poll Champions. I count 17. Most folks think we're being arrogant when we claim 14 but actually we're being gracious.....
