Not to come here and Debbie down or anything, but anyone insinuating that the SEC gets 3 national seeds this year or 4 national seeds EVER is clearly off their rocker.

That overall record is currently too good not to be hosting if it was selection day today. Go 3-3 against OM and SC from here on out and I think y'all should be sitting pretty!

LSU and Vandy will be the only national seeds.
Arky's RPI is too high and they're battling for a regional host. For MSU to get a national seed we would have to sweep Ole Miss and probably sweep USC, plus not go 1 and done in the SEC tourney.
This series sweep does make us hosting a regional very likely.

you have Vandy, LSU, South Carolina at 11 and Miss St. at 10 in the RPI.

they (SC and MSST) play each other in the final series

They aren't giving 4 teams from the same conference Top 8 seeds. The committee will not do it. You can bookmark my statements if you wish but it will not happen.
USC and MSU cannot win out because they play each other. Additionally Florida State and NC State along with UNC and Virginia cannot together win out because they all play each other.
You know how the NCAA baseball selection committee is. They award many teams things not on merit but for subjective bullshite, such as geography. They'll punish you for teams you didn't play. They will punish you for losing to certain teams while not awarding you for teams you BEAT.
I'm not saying I disagree with you on the principle, because I think it should be awarded for merit. But you know the selection committee doesn't work that way.

While I agree we are not the only conference in America, I disagree with the fact the ACC is even compatible to SEC. I think the road for the ACC to compete with the SEC is much harder than the PAC12, or say OSU. The addition of ND in might help but not exactly making the a National Power overnight either

just going by baseball in a baseball thread, the computer numbers have them ahead, and you can put as much stock in them as you want. they do that with BC who's the worst team in both conferences
