That's good. I love having Aggie in the league. It's a perfect fit.

It is worlds better.
Let the Big 12 wallow in their petty regional squabbles. I live in Dallas and unless I actively seek out Big 12 news, I generally have no idea what's happening in their conference.
When I turn on ESPN radio, they talk SEC, ACC, Big 10, and PAC. Because that's what matters nationally.
Unless something nationally noteworthy happens in the Big 12, I don't know or care.
I get to watch my Ags play the best of the best all season long. Damn near every game of our season has top 15 ramifications now. It wasn't so long ago that I recall having to rely on static filled am radio feeds to follow conference football games. Now I get TV, Radio, and national media coverage of my team and conference every god damned day of the week, and I love it.
While Big 12 start every season dreaming of getting bragging rights over their coworkers, SEC fans dream of national championships. I know A&M has some distance to cover before we get there, but by damn it's a nice feeling knowing that that's the goal every year. That's simply not the case for Big 12 teams.

Bro, you're trying way too hard. You got to ease into it.

Idiot pussy? I said I'm glad we're in the SEC. But the social aspect of Saturdays and office shite talking isn't as much fun.

That was kind of the central theme of what I was trying to get at with my question

It was never fun. The venom and bitterness of the other Texas schools towards TAMC was unreal. frick that and frick them. We are finally home

Amen, who really wants to read some 9000 word essay on why our 12th man tradition is BS or why we don't strictly hold ourselves to a honor code even though most other universities have honor codes (or "codes of student conduct") that THEIR students ignore?
In comparison, the SEC mouthbreather analysis of "A&M haz male cheerleaders so yall R gay" is so refreshing. Not every opinion needs to look like a post on Medium.

Not a big deal. I have a lot of friends from hs that went to Texas. Have probably only talked about the SEC once or twice.
Also Houston and Dallas contain many Arkansas, Alabama and LSU fans
Seems pretty accurate from the BigXII real world perspective.
Internet bs aside.

For the current generation, I'm sure. For any teasip older than 22, mentioning the SEC in their presence makes their blood boil. You are a teasip and have a registered account on this website. If that doesn't reek of obsession, I don't know what does.

It's contempt, not venom or bitterness.

Meh. I feel the opposite. A&M single handedly created Big 12 pride. When Tech beat Arkansas the circlejerk from the teasips and the Sooners was unreal. "The SEC is so overrated" is their favorite talking point and they sit their in nodding approval when anyone speaks to that rhetoric. It's adorable.

I'm well over 22, and the title of this thread is, how has the dynamic changed in Texas with Big XII folks. I was responding to one of your ags and agreeing with his thoughts that the dynamic hasn't changed all that much -- in terms of how BigXII folks deal with A&M folks.
It really hasn't since A&M doesn't play BigXII all that often. Now the SEC obsession would exist whether or not A&M were still in the BigXII, because A&M still wouldn't be doing anything in football, Texas would still be in the doldrums, and Baylor, TCU and OU wouldn't have won the big games in football.
Big XII people tend to look at recent developments as a trade between West VA and TCU for A&M and Mizzou. Long term, that's a football wash.
Once again, you are mistaking BigXII folks being jealous of the SECs real and perceived success in football and BigXII folks being jealous of A&M.
The former is real and the later isn't. But the former is real in the any conference other than the SEC.

Do you know the URL for the Big 12 message board? I want to go talk shite to my old rival that we don't play anymore while wearing my new Yale flair because I totally went there and am not an obsessed lunatic.

But the Aggie chip on the shoulder dynamic does not appear to have changed. Which makes the whooping at weddings and such a tad more tolerable.
But just a tad.
