In real life, most Aggies never wanted to leave the SWC.

How Sherman handled other players is irrelevant.

Yea, let's just ignore how he handled the QB spot w/Stephen McGee -> Jerrod Johnson -> Ryan Tannehill. That doesn't give us any insight as to how he would have made the transition from Tanny at all.

Sherman recruited Manziel and knew he was special.

He had to be begged by Tom Rossley to offer Johnny. Sherman didn't recruit him.

Not sure what you're laughing about. It's well documented that Manziel was 3rd string after the 2012 Spring practices.

Winning a national title, while difficult, is the only worthwhile goal.

No it isn't.

Look at Miami. They have many national titles, including more won in my lifetime than Texas has in its existence. But in 2016 they have problems filling a stadium, their TV money lags behind UF, and it took a banner flying campaign to get rid of a coach. The national titles allow their fans to live in the past, but the program future doesn't look that bright.

Program stability is goal number one. Everything else is gravy

Johnny in Sherman's offense would not have been near the star he was in Sumlin's.

There is no way in hell Sherman would have allowed that kind of freelancing.

Why are you surprised that the burnt orange ticks from Austin don't know shite about actual football?

You're implying that Sherman did, which is even more stupid. But that's what we expect from Bayou Parasites.

Our program is more stable than any in the country. If we don't win any national titles in the next 5 years then we will have failed.

Seems most aggies who post here would rather have the move to the SEC than a shot at a 2012 National Football Championship. In real life, most aggies express the opposite sentiment.

If we were still in the Big 12 we would not have had a shot at the national championship. We wouldn't have and a good enough signature win to lean on.

It's cute that you think Aggies regret moving to the SEC. I hope it helps you sleep at night to believe your own fairy tale.

Be sure to keep taking time out of your day to stop by our conference message board to let us know how little you care about us. You're totally convincing us.

I mean there's no guarantee y'all would've beaten Kansas State but yeah, a 12-0 A&M would've been in the BCS title game against Notre Dame.

There's a very critical fact you're leaving out.

Who was Alabama's only loss that year? That loss doesn't happen if A&M is in the Big 12.

With a hypothetical 12-0 Notre Dame, 13-0 Alabama, and 12-0 Texas A&M, who is ranked 1 and 2?

I don't know but being in the Big 12 didn't hurt Kansas State because they were #1 after y'all beat us.
This is how the BCS rankings were:

1. Alabama 9-0
2. Kansas State 9-0 (put A&M here instead)
3. Oregon 9-0
4. Notre Dame 9-0

I won a lunch with Dat Nguyen last year. He was a linebackers coach for A&M during johnnys redshirt season. Johnny played scout team quarterback, and Dat said he never noticed him as a good QB in practice. And Sherman wasn't high on him either. Of course, you couldn't have seen JFFs creativity in a practice where he couldn't run. But still.

They were the lowest-ranked in all of the computer polls...and if you don't think that the voters would do everything they could to ensure a Notre Dame/Alabama title game, you're delusional.
