Wait, so being "flat" is an acceptable excuse? Crown LSU 2011 Champs because they came out flat, and after all, they already beat Bama once that year so logic dictates they do it again.

The irony here is scrumptious.

My point--that Bama had not seen an individual player like JFF or a defensive scheme like a&m's up to that point in the year--still stands, broski

I'm fine saying A&M beat Alabama. But saying A&M beat the shite out of Alabama is a disingenuous assertion at best.

Dear god, and I quote

You must ride the short bus. Now where did in any part of that specifically name JFF. Now we are just suppose to know what the hell you are trying to say

I've stopped trying to correct the Aggies for claiming they beat the hell out of us. It's clearly the biggest A&M victory of our generation, so let's just take it for a compliment and stop reminding them that we were inside their 10 with a minute and a half to go with the chance to steal the game.

FourThreeForty,

Tell me how many times has Bama faced a defensive scheme like A&M?

Oh hell. It's terrible. I never seen it before and they totally just brought out the most complex defense known to mankind.

Their toughest defensive scheme they played was a base LSU defense

Or Joeckel? The combination of our offensive players was clearly better than the combination of Alabama's. Who cares if that has primarily to do with Manziel? Joeckel was still better than anything they had on offense as well. The combo of Swope and Evans, was equivalent, if not superior to Cooper and whoever else they have, and while Bama's RBs were probably better, we still had the SEC's leading rusher and averaged more rushing yards per game. Our offense, as a whole, had more talent, was more effective, had more play making ability, and was more versatile. Sometimes you just have to accept Aggie greatness for what it is... greatness.

A generic assertion to the eventual heisman winner and his oline would be a good start

But go ahead and split that hair.

Now what say you about the defense part. You conveniently omitted that, I notice.

The 4-3 scheme has never been used before in the SEC! Amirite?

Start keeping record of this, and let's compare it to the number of times Bama fans through out excuses explaining how A&M was lucky LSU was the week before and didn't deserve to win. I think it will be a fun experiment.

How many INTs did the vaunted LSU D ring up on Alabama? Surely if the blasé aggie D was literally dictating what Bama was to do on offense in the 2nd half, the Tigers must have absolutely shackled the Tide.

I don't see why they get so offended by the term "beat the hell outta". When Swope said it after the victory, they were furious. They sing it after each win, in rammer jammer don't they? Even if it was a one point miracle win? "BTHO ___" is a generic term for winning, and one Aggies, and others, say all the time... why do they get so bent out of shape? It is one of the crazier gump hypocrisies out there.

People forget that I was born in Alabama and that the Tide were my favorite SEC team until a&m joined. Always have enjoyed Bama football behind the ags and michigan wolverines
