Aggies, I am asking legitimate questions that are going unanswered in another thread. I want to have a mature conversation regarding your squad next year.

I know you are recruiting really well. I also know you are losing the key people on your offense, but Sumlin is known for offensive firepower.

I have 3 questions for you, please answer them without being a dickhead. I am just curious.

1. Who fills in for Johnny and Jake next year? What are your thoughts on the replacements?
2. What changes will be made on the defensive side of the ball in terms of coaching?
3. What key players/starters with experience are returning on both sides of the ball?

Look forward to the responses.

Kenny Hill - True Sophmore, played in some garbage time against trash opponents but looked pretty good during the time. It will be a dropoff but how much I have no clue. Jake will be replaced by RT - Senior Cedric Obguehi who is being give an early 1st round grade. He might go pro but we dont know at this point. We have 2 of the highest rated Juco OL coming in.

Honestly the most overrated part of our team is the OL. So it wouldnt upset me if he went early.

Same coaching. We'll return 10 of the 11 crappy starters. Honestly think the upperclassmen will lose their starting jobs by midseason next year.

Well we could possibly have 4 OL returning (3 staying at the same position) or only 2. Other than that, the offense is a complete rebuild.

Key returnees on defense are the frehsman - Darian Claiborne - LB - 5 dougle digit tackle performances as a true freshman.

Isaiah Golden - DT started 7 games and is playing well.

Daeshon Hall - DE - really turned it on the past 3 games. If he can put on 20 pounds or so in the offseason hes gonna be a good one.

thanks

Is the fan base upset no coaching changes are being made on defense? Seems like a no brainer.

I'll add to this- RBs Trey Williams and Tra Carson. They should be a huge part of our offense early on assuming we commit to the run a little more while breaking in a new QB. Both were very effective when they got the ball this year

Snyder got so much out of the defense last year he deserves another year to get this right. I think most of us would rather see a change in who calls the plays on offense. We are all still crossing our fingers Holgorsen gets canned at WVU and wants to rejoin Sumlin. A huge pipe dream. Otherwise I would guess McKinney keeps his job as OC

I'm willing to give our DC a pass for this year. Injuries and having to play 11 true freshman on defense including several starters. He made our experienced group the first year look good so I'd like to see him have another year. If next year looks this bad it will be time to move on.

Surprisingly I'm more furious that our OC still has a job. It is painfully apparent that the dude has no idea how to call plays. 4 verticles and let Johnny make something happen is not an offense.

Ah the running backs, although hard to call them a strength when we never run the ball....

So frustrating. They will likely be our two best skill position guys returning so we better give them the damn ball next year

That's interesting you guys aren't fans of the OC. Didn't know that. It was a bit of a playground offense. Maybe he thought he could repeat the Bama performance every game.

Holgorsen calling plays is scary, but I thought Sumlin ran the offense?

Kenny Hill?? Drop off??? How about a Cliff Dive from the Space Station........ You wont replace JJ.

Offense won't look or feel the same IMO.

He just doesn't have the same creativity Kingsbury had. Holgorsen was OC under Sumlin at UH. That's a huge long shot as I think Dana would land another HC gig even if he leaves WV

So we are gonna go down to 10% completion versus LSU? Believe it or not our last 5 QBs all spent time in the NFL. And we have a Coach who has spent a lot of time with Quarterbacks. Last position I'm worried about.

You literally didn't pay attention to anything I said in the other thread, did you. I know you made some declarative statements that were just silly and wrong, but you don't need to stand by them. You can admit you were wrong.

Look at Sumlin's history. He always has a top 10 offense, and he will again next year.

But I agree that it will be different.

Yea but he isnt at Houston anymore, and he is losing JFF

Would be better if he could come up with a top 50 defense

I think his current defensive recruiting suggests that that is very plausible.
