it wouldn't be penalized. Your number of home games against one another over a 4 year period would be identical. You got them at home last year and this year.
A "home" game scheduled three days in advance would not really be a home game in the sense that we usually mean it. No chance for selling enough tickets, people who already scheduled things thinking the game was not in town, etc. It would be grossly unfair to expect LSU to give up a legit, scheduled home game in exchange for a spur-of-the-moment thrown-together emergency game.
I'm all for moving it to another venue closer to Gainesville if they can swing it. Let UF have the game wherever they want it as long as it gets played on Saturday. Moving the kickoff time wouldn't bother me, but the game really does need to be played on Saturday if at all possible. It's hard to see how moving the game back to Sunday or Monday but keeping it in Gainesville would be much better than just playing it Saturday in Gainesville. The storm will be gone either way, and if there's so much recovery effort necessary that the game can't be played Saturday, then it's unlikely that would all be finished up on Sunday or Monday.

'm going to assume this was sarcasm.
Just to be clear. I meant LSU football. Nothing to do with floods. We are going to be dealing with our own issues here. I wouldn't make fun of your floods.
Yes, sarcasm. Not flood smack talk at all.
Have a great time at the game. I'll be cutting up neighbors trees for days.

Sorry Florida Season ticket holders particularly with this being your down schedule year.

The whole thing is a win for both schools. LSU plays the Gators wherever Nick decides and gets a big win, and UF has to change their plans but has a handy excuse and thus gets a huge "moral victory".

Bunch Florida families with Florida football players need to forget their problems.
LSU needs some Yaw Yaw time.
Don't try to spin waiting until the last minute to make an announcement as the entire area evacuates as UF putting their people first. If UF gave two shits about their people an alternate site would have already been announced so the families and fans in the area can make appropriate plans for their own wellbeing.

LSU fans need to stfu. The game is not being played in BR. End of story. I may not think Mac is a good coach but I hope he shoves a 10 lb bass right up your arse Saturday or whenever the game is played. We're UF not South Carolina and we have more pull than LSU so gargle my nuts

All jokes aside you jort wearing freaks. It looks like this thing is starting to slow down which means it will strengthen and you could be looking at a Cat 4 by tomorrow morning. They're also expecting a slight shift to the west in the next 12-24 hours. Football is football and we all talk shite. Y'all stay safe these next few days.

Multiple UF beat writers are saying that UF thinks the game will not move location but will change time.
This is asinine. So they believe they can't go off at 11AM because of a hurricane that will have come through the area, but everything will be hunky dory if you give them an extra 4-7 hours?

LSU fans should protest in the streets. Just stay away from the Nike store.

I don't think many LSU fans are upset that UF wants the game in Gainesville. We completely understand. The frustration comes from the ridiculous logic that is being used to justify keeping the game there.
