This situation is sad on so many levels

Do you believe in any euthanasia? Cancer patient, etc...

My uncle had the same disease as RW, he went out naturally, it was not a pretty sight.

You are wrong and ignorant. You obviously have never known anyone in either of those circumstances. And I hope you never will, but if you do, you will gain some perspective. One is a sacrifice for love, the other is pure constant pain.

What is cowardly is judging people who feel they have no options and who do this for the sake and benefit of those they love.

Done with this.

This is about the same set of responses as most internet sites. Makes one kind of wish Hernandez’s four-year-old daughter never learns to read.

As far as AH being a coward: If what I've read is true and his conviction now gets overturned, allowing his estate to retain his earnings which will eventually pass on to his daughter, I'd say that he went out doing the best he could for his family. I'm certainly not praising him, but this could turn out to be a very shrewd move.

actually I do. Girl I went to HS with. Came from a very "to do" family. her father made some horrible investments and basically bankrupted their estate. He hung himself. It completely destroyed their family, left his two daughters fatherless, his wife a widow. Yes, that is selfish as frick.

I know people who have lost children too as a result of an accident where they were the driver (kid fell off a tractor while his dad was driving, died). They didn't kill themselves because they have other people that care about them and depend on them and also have other good they can do in this world.

Bad shite happens to good people all the time. That doesn't mean they should just give up and end it all. There are certain situations like a terminal illness where it's understandable, but killing yourself because you've fallen on bad times is cowardly.

What you've read isn't true. His conviction was vacated, yes, but that does not bar a lawsuit. The family of the victim can still file a wrongful death lawsuit and collect, even if he had been acquitted (see: OJ Simpson)

If this ends up being true, in a really weird way Hernandez stayed true to his creed as warped as it is, he died for his family.

fricked up but then again the dude did basically smoke PCP for months at a time.

That's not true. His contract was voided after being arrested for unbecoming conduct. His guilty verdict being abated does NOTHING regarding his contract.

Snopes link

It also does nothing to bar the family from suing Aaron Hernandez's estate for damages. And the standard of proof in a civil suit is lower than the criminal trial.

tl;dr:

Your reasoning is flawed in assuming people who commit suicide are thinking rationally.
