It doesn't. JFF has seemed pretty shady this off season. You're not going to be breaking the rules with reputable people. You deal with guys like this. Seems to me the Chancellor is politicking. JFF is guilty, just like $Cam was. The question is, will he skate like $Cam did?

Well, we managed to have a civilized discussion which actually involved looking at the statements Chancellor Sharp made... but you and I were the only participants.
Now that everyone's awake, it's back to business as usual.

Here's another angle to consider:
With Rick Perry not seeking another term as Governor in 2014 is John Sharp (Democrat) positioning himself as a legitimate candidate?
Background: John Sharp and Rick Perry were roommates in college and have been political rivals ever since. In 1998, they both ran against each other for Lieutenant Governor and Perry won.

I don't know enough about Texas politics to really make an informed comment, but if shite does go down and he makes a big moral outrage splash, it wouldn't exactly be unheard of for him to spin something like that into a campaign stump.

Despite the fact that Sharp is a Democrat, if the Republican Candidate is David Dewhurst (Douche-hurst), I'm voting for Sharp.
There are also rumors that the reason that Loftin (A&M president) is stepping down in January is that he is making a run as well.

I mean he can run as a democrat I guess, I don't really know who the front runners would be for the Texas Democratic Party right now. If your definition of legitimate candidate includes having a legitimate chance to win then hell no. He is still a democrat in Texas and there is no way he would beat Greg Abbott

A&M has the Texas governor's office on hard lockdown!

Looks like they're trotting out Wendy Davis (Ms. Filibuster).

Lol I haven't heard this and I think Loftin was a fine president but come on. There is a 0% chance he would win any sort of primary and I don't think he has the kind of capital to fund a campaign. This seems extremely unlikely and sounds like a rumor from TexAgs

Perry and Sharp got back to being buddies a while ago, that is why Sharp has that job which was appointed by a BoR that is exclusively Perry appointees.
Sharp is also an old school conservative Democrat, the kind that really doesn't exist anymore that is a Republican on every issue but didn't change Party affiliation. Ironically Perry was a Dem as well up until 1990 when he first ran for Ag Commissioner.
Sharp won't run for public office again and he certainly won't run as a Democrat if he did. The last time Democrat was elected to ANY Statewide office in Texas was 1994 and that is in spite of the GOP running some pretty bad candidates.

A university president saying the word "facebook" makes me laugh.
So a bunch of aTm fans attack his email and blow up his phone, now this guy is guilty because he canceled his account to avoid harassment?

Clearly doesn't know the difference between a president of a university and a chancellor of a university system.

Abbott is likely the next Governor. Dewhurst is trying to hold on to Lt Governor and has 2 Aggies that may take him down (Staples and Patterson).
A&M is in good shape regardless because we run the Leg. The GOP is run predominantly by Aggies in Texas and the Dems are predominantly run by Texas. No one is going to mess with us, we may not get everything we want like we have for the last decade or so but we will be fine regardless of who wins.
