A&M was a small, all male military school. LSU would not come to College Station to play. It's the same reason big schools won't play at small schools today.

Travel.
College Station was nothing but dirt roads to and from, tractor paths in.
For Arkansas, the Shreveport game was one that made it possible to build our fan base in the southern part of the state, LSU's in the northern part of their state.
Plus teams traveled by train for the most part back then.

You choose a nice arbitrary year that just happens to get ATM to .500. When in fact LSU had won the 71 72 and 73 games.
You could've just said that when both were ranked, LSU owned ATM in the 1980s series 3-1. Then when LSU was at their worst ever in 1990s, that Aggy reeled off 5 in a row. And now when both supposedly good again, LSU owning the series again in 2010s 4-0.
Take away Aggie's 1900-1944 9-5 series start and 5-0 in a row 1990s..and that LSU 30-20-3 alltime lead is a landslide 25-6-3.
