in that time.

GT not included.

Texas- 4 times (SEC team but we played them once as non SEC and got them on the schedule their first two seasons in the conference)
Notre Dame- 3 times
Clemson- 4 times
TCU- 2 times
Nebraska- 2 times

Counting Baylor, we have played three teams from the state of Texas as much or more often than we've played Texas A&M.

Only one of those teams is in the conference and just joined two years ago.

Stupid.

It’s a joke at this point.

The schedule makers are “compromised”…

If it wasn't Georgia only playing A&M once, it'd be some other SEC East team.

Counting post season games is a little weird

If I'm not mistaken, Florida has played the Aggies 6 times since they joined the conference.

It makes no sense.

In that same time, including SEC championship games, we've played Alabama 11 times, and they are on the schedule yet again next season.

Not really. What are the chances of getting matched up in the postseason with TCU twice? Should be a lot less of getting matched up with a conference team twice in 15 years. Same for Baylor. You would think we'd play A&M as a conference team more times in 15 seasons than Baylor, who we'd only play if we happened to get a bowl game matchup.

So post season games actually make the point even better.

Thank you for helping me point that out, Dawg.

Think these things through brother.

I mean, this is a bummer for fans, but you do realize the conference was set up different with East and West, right?

Yes, I do.

Has any one from the West only played Mizzou once? Maybe that's the case.

They had that like, cross rival thing. A&M played S.Carolina every year.

I mean, it probably should have happened by now.

Close, Ole Miss..We've played twice in the SEC. In 2013, at the Grove..our banner year..won with our back up QB, and in 2019 in COMO..the year Barry Odom got fired.

You will play them again next year. We won't play A&M, though I assume it will be the opposite in 2027.

Still, you had met them twice by 2019. 2019 was our first time playing A&M and have not done it since.

Yeah, it is an unexplained anomaly. Until Ou & texa$$ joined, outside of the crossover opponent, there should have rotated thru the remaining 6 opposite division teams. In 2012, let's take that year out..cause Mizzou & aTm played each other as a crossover..the league gave us Bama at home in primetime as the other game...and scratch 2020..cause it was 2020..there was nine seasons to play six different teams at least once in an even rotation...and you did play them once. Soooo, maybe it was just the numbers, or maybe someone in Birmingham was looking out for UGA..
or ( aTm ¯\_(?)_/¯).
I will say this, you will enjoy your trip to College Station whenever UGA does go there. They are a little quirky, but good people. Good atmosphere & good food. Even scarier, they seem to have good management with Elko..and they sit in a hotbed of talent, with Big Oil $..they might finally be the perennial Top 10 team they should have been for decades now.
