Last time OU rushed the field was at home in 2000 in what concluded Red October. #3 Oklahoma defeated #1 Nebraska, 31-14 officially putting OU football back, and what set the tone for the national championship, and successful seasons to come.

Pfffft not even close...they didn’t rush the field when they beat one of the best OU teams ever.

It’s (field rush) very rare for our fans.
I think it happened against Nebraska.
Won’t be the biggest all-time win, though.
BTHOC!

Our only field rush was due to a campaign to set the student section attendance record, which involved setting up field level bleachers on the tracks against Nebraska....

It was a hell of a game, but no one would have even thought about rushing the field under normal circumstances. Just too many students already down there to avoid it lol...

31,000 students at that game. Which was beat in 2014 with 39,000.

I was in the stands, the rain of towels at the end was awesome.

During the renovation, they lowered the playing surface a few feet. There is a wall around the field now, which I'd estimate at over 6 feet high. So if you're coming out of the stands, you'd have to negotiate your way over and down that obstacle to get to the field.

Note the height of the two men walking next to the end zone wall.

This is doable if you are determined, like Santa Anna's infantry coming over the walls of the Alamo. But probably enough to deter anyone but a few crazed fans after an emotional victory.

Using “supercilious” on the Rant seems, well, supercilious.
