But at the same time. A&M didn't play a first game. So we have no idea what their weaknesses are this season judged from their first game. Ummm, their will be plenty.
Teams also get better from Week 1 to Week 2. And there will be a different level of intensity and focus this week by the Gators knowing they are playing A&M as compared to a mehhh home opener against BGSU.
NO EXCUSES. If your entire league is light years better than the Big 12 in terms of size, speed, talent, then it should be infinite billion light years ahead of MAC teams like BG to the point where it can even sleep walk and still destroy Bowling Green 30-0 at minimum. If you are gonna bandy about this SEC is superhuman walks on water horseshite, you can't suddenly call the WAHmbulence and make a bunch of girly little shite excuses when your superteam looks like arse for even one game. Sorry.
And I can say that because you don't see mee trotting out a bunch of hyperbole bullshite about my team or the Big 12. They are good solid football teams, that's all. And thats fricking all Florida is too. I dunno how the frick you can delude yourself into saying a 7-6 team with no QB who struggled with Bowling Green is anything other. Certainly not this superhuman talent/size/speed/Chuck Norris awesomeness pile of crap.

Also, to the BBQ conversation.
I've had Memphis BBQ. I've had Mississippi, Georgia, Carolina's Alabama, Florida, and BBQ from every state in the south at some point i'm sure.
The BEST BBQ I've ever had. Some place WestNorthWest of Austin, TX. No idea of name. Near a lake we rented a lakehouse on.

Yep. I'm also from the place that is very consistently ranked the best BBQ place in the world. Bring in anyone in the world with a blind taste test vs all the BBQ in the nation, and the Memphis BBQ always wins almost without fail.

BTW, as a native Texan this is going to be a bit blasphemous, but I actually prefer pork ribs over beef and I like vinegar type sauces.
Then congrats, unlike many of your other Texan brethren, you have good taste, although dry rub is still the way to go.

I'll give it to Missourians and Texans that they at least know the definition of a BBQ and their BBQ is fairly decent (not great, but decent). Alot of these Cali and New Yorkers I hang out with think a fricking BBQ is grilling out hamburgers for 15 minutes on the grill. I just have to roll my eyes at them over that.

It's cute that you think you know BBQ
Their's at least makes the very minimum definition. Seriously ask anyone outside of Texas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, North Carolina, Kansas, and Missouri what a BBQ is, and they'll tell you that it has to do with hot dogs and hamburgers.

Oh even better.
Texas>>>>>>>>>>Memphis
Lets put a blind taste test forward from anyone outside of Texas and see who wins? Well they've done it many times, and Memphis BBQ wins extremely consistently outside of Texas. Texans generally just have bad taste in BBQ.

Its funny because as much as people associate beef with Texas, most Texans I know seem to prefer pork ribs and every BBQ joint makes them.
I'm not sure about this. I've had quite a few friends from Texas, and all of them were insulted with the mention of pork ribs. Maybe I'm just running into the wrong people.

I get it. I do.
Mizzou and A&M like Michigan and Oregon are going to outsmart and outwit the big bad SEC schools. Speed, Size, Depth doesn't matter the Mizzou and A&M coaching staff will be able create a gameplan to put themselves in an opportunity to win. Right?
Then what happens....? After about a quarter all that bullshite goes out the window after hit after hit from bigger, stronger, faster, and more talented players. And then you're just hoping no key players get injured and you get out of there without getting overly embaressed.

I actually do prefer them dry. I just like vinegar sauces in general for other types of BBQ. Pork ribs have enough fat in them you shouldn't need anything other than seasoning.
I also agree that many people have no clue what barbecuing is.

Actually Kevin Sumlin has stated multiple times we need to improve in all those areas except speed. Offensively we are fine, but we need size and depth at DL and the whole front 7 in general.
I dont think you'll find an A&M fan in here that thinks we are going to take down the SEC in the first couple of years.
I do think Sumlin knows what needs to be done and he is already addressing this issue with recruiting.

TX BBQ is more along the lines of Barbacoa. The only thing that TX Ques that I like is the Brisket. I hate beef ribs unless they are braised. Memphis and KC style are my favorite style or pork ribs.

I like all forms of BBQ. In Texas, there are various BBQ cultures which revolve around closed pit and open pit. Pork ribs are used in Texas more than beef ribs. Good closed pit requires no sauce, just has a good dry rub and flavor ring on the brisket.
I do love some pulled pork though. Texas is brisket, sausuage, ribs, and chicken.
