Last year everything was different and new for your teams and fans. This year you somewhat know what to expect and aren't just the new guys. What have you noticed as far as the difference from big12 to SEC?

the same thing that we say every time this question is asked

As expected, I care about every game instead of going three game spans with no care because we're playing Iowa St, Kansas, Colorado, etc.

You get trolled for a bad year then trolled for a good year!

It was hard to really appreciate a lot last year while we were getting our teeth kicked in every week.
This year I have kind of soaked in a lot more and its like night and day. The love and passion for the game in the SEC is like night and day. The gameday atmospheres and venues are incredible. Its starting to rub off in Columbia,Mo and thats great. "SEC speed" is legit. I used to think that was just some hot air but the athletes are bigger and faster. The schedule grinder is REAL. Let me state that again. The schedule is grueling. Line play. From top to bottom in this conference line play is far superior to that in the Big 12.
Love it. Im glad the rest of the SEC gets to see a better Mizzou program this year.

How about the importance of depth?

Thanks for an actual response.

Just better tv coverage and recruiting. Other than that, I go to college station, drink beer, eat food, check out women 10 years my junior, and go to the game.
On the whole, SEC teams seem to travel better.

Save your shite for another thread. If you don't have a comment that doesn't require a sarcasm meter, gtfo!

The defensive issues we have this year were on display in 2012 as well.
Florida - starters in most of the game: 20 pts allowed
SMU - is just terrible: 3 pts allowed
SCSU - allowed 7 points with starters, 7 with reserves
Arkansas - was just terrible: 10 points allowed
Ole Miss - starters played the whole game: 27 points allowed
Louisiana Tech - Missing 4 starters: 57 points allowed
LSU - starters played the whole game: 19 points allowed
Auburn - starters allowed 7, reserves allowed 14
Mississippi State - starters allowed 6, reserves allowed 7
Alabama - starters played the whole game: allowed 24
SHSU - starters allowed 0 points, reserves allowed 28
Missouri - starters allowed 7, reserves allowed 22
Oklahoma - starters in the whole game, allowed 13.
Last year's reserves + true freshmen make up almost our entire starting defense

I was taking a peek at aTm recruiting and it looks like you all have some nice help on that side of the ball on the way.
aTm, given good coaching and continued success recruiting should be scary, top 1-3 of the West, good for a long while.

you can outscore the good teams and bad, but you can't count on it to save your bacon EVERY week.
I know it's not earthshattering news, but you need a defense in the SEC.
Outside of that, the offense is running smoother. The only thing I'm left wanting is to play more East teams not named Mizzou. The Cats are slowing down our introduction to the league and we them.

To clarify, I did not mean in any way that your thread was a troll job. I apologize, if it came off that way. I had just been reading some of the troll threads. So it was my gut response.
Big thing I notice in the SEC is stronger, better FB programs from top to bottom. Also seems to be more division rivalry. Of course, who ever has Bama gets the edge. But really there are quality teams in both divisions.

Yea. Its crazy how this scheduling worked out in the last years in the Big 12 and the first two in the SEC.
I have nothing but respect for the Aggies but we both need to move on with our lives.

Every week is exciting and every week is a grind. The football season seems longer than ever, and that is a good thing.
