The offense seems like it will be more of the same just smarter play calling/game planning.
If this is true it will make a huge difference.

UF was such a strange situation last year. You looked great sometimes then just awful the next. But don't think UF's D is head and shoulders above LSU's right now. Should be another great game in Tiger Stadium.

With our schedule we should end up around 8.

Give me some examples to prove you aren't speaking out of your arse.
ok for the sake of time I'll focus on the 1st roundish guys you brought up.
LSU loses DE's Sam Montgomery, Keke Mingo, and S Eric Reid.
They replace them with Justin Maclin, Rasco, and Danielle Hunter. Total stats last year:
Maclin- None Rasco- 10 tackles Hunter- None
They replace Eric Reid with Ronald Martin who has played but not very well imho and wasn't a very good recruit either.
A&M loses Luke Joeckel and Damontre Moore
Joekel- Jake Matthews will be sliding into his spot. Cedric Ogbuehi will play RT and a&m fans rave about him. He will probably be moved to LT when Matthews leaves.
Moore- Will be tough to replace for them. Looks like that DE spot will be young and unproven.
UGA-
Jarvis Jones- Jordan Jenkins will pick up the productivity, even though he started last year. A bunch of guys are competing at the other spot that are young, unproven, or Chase Vasser who started before Jenkins took his job.
Ogletree- Again the productivity will be replaced with Amarlo Herrera who started last year. But the spot could be Any number of guys. Ramik Wilson, Brandon Burrows, or any one of almost half a dozen very talented freshman.

Both of our corners ( The Collins ) were either true or redshirt freshmen
I wasn't counting RS Fr.

No he means the Offense
Only question on offense is will Mett continue to improve and how will the O.line shake out?
Much less worrying than the D to me.

Eric Reid was burnt toast on a regular basis last year. He wasn't nearly as productive as he was in 2011. It's not a given Ronald Martin slides into that spot either. Safety is not my concern at all, and neither is linebacker.
Legit concerns on the ends though. I think Rasco is going to be an animal. He did horrible things to Murray in the 2011 SECCG and has shown flashes of potential greatness. Hopefully one of the other guys can step up. Hunter looks the part but we all know that doesn't translate all the time
In conclusion, I think LSU has one legit area of concern, and I think that can be said for any team going into the year

Pardon me for saying this, but you sound very biased. When LSU has to replace good players with Freshman or players that were overshadowed by All-Americans/1st rounders, Our defense is going to suck. Yet, UGA has any one of almost half a dozen very talented freshman to step in. Do you follow recruiting? Does LSU just have a bench full of Ole Miss rebels ready to run onto the field?

all of which have been behind Montgomery and Mingo throughout their LSU careers.
and that excuses why they haven't done anything? Rasco has been decent in the limited amount of snaps he has had.

wtf are you talking about? watch LSU play much?
Pretty much every game the last 5 years.
quote:
Ranked third on team in pass breakups
Is that supposed to mean something? You mean a CB that got a bunch of playing time had some pass breakups? I'm shocked.
quote:
has been stuck behind Eric Reid an All-American selection.
But has still played quite a bit and not well at that.

. If you honestly think LSU's defense will be bad, you're doing a great job of kidding yourself.
I didn't say bad I said they will take a big step back.
You can hype all these guys all you want but at the end of the day they haven't done much and what they have done hasn't been super positive.

I wouldn't say regularly and it didn't help the CB's weren't anywhere close to as good.
I do agree he had a much better year in 2011.

Yeah and if not you get to see more of Eugene who is worse.

Yeah when he has gotten the chance to play he has done pretty well. It's just he hasn't played too too much.

Hunter looks the part
Was a really great recruit. One of my favs that LSU got of that class.

I think Alabama and the retooling of their o-line is the biggest question mark going into the season, even more so than our D line replacements

No not at all. LSU is my 2nd fav team.

I never typed that.

I do.

Well for starters Ole Miss is good and will continue to get better.
Secondly, at certain spots yeah they have players that weren't great recruits or who haven't played that great VS UGA who has recruited better at the concern spots.

Quite possibly. Y'all lost three starters out of four and some vet depth and they lose their starters at LG, C, and RT.

UGA has just as many questions on D as LSU if not more. We will have to wait and see. Obviously both sides are biased toward their respective teams right now. Was UGA this confident in 2009?
Posted on 3/6/13 at 7:34 pm to adammwilson
Yep, both should be interesting. Only 6 more months and we can starting figuring it out
Definitely excited about the UGA game. I will be making my first trip to Athens. An added bonus would be the Saints playing at the Falcons the next day

I agree. I just think UGA has more guys that started last year that can pick up the actual production of those that left.

you mean after the 2009 season heading into 2010 or before it?

heading into the last Athens game in 2009 between UGA and LSU
