I'm not confused, sport. Again, it's obvious that you misread it.

UGA and Bama could be an instant rematch if UGA wins on Saturday.

Yes, you are.

Is it the fact there are multiple thoughts in the post that's tripping you up? I even separated those out by double-spacing them, assuming that would be obvious. That's my bad, champ.

Here you go:

You'd lose...again.

I hope Bama wins. I hope we get in.

So you're saying that you took my original post literally, huh?...EVERY Sooner or Bucknut in the country?...riiiight!
Look, you're not going to admit your mistake, and I really don't care, so....later champ, or is that sport?

I will never ever excuse that lose, but a game in October is different than a game in December on a neutral field.

OSU 2014 is a prime example of a team who people thought "that team lost at home by 2 TDs to V.T. how the hell can they be in?" Was that team the best in the nation?

UGA in the past 2 years has been blown out twice, and people seem fine to let them into the playoffs if they go 12-1. Hell, last year UGA got outgained 2-1 by Auburn and had 46 yards rushing. We had no problem making them a playoff team

Are you arguing that blow out loses to Iowa and Purdue are equal or more acceptable than blow out loses against LSU and Auburn? WTF?

I didn't even come close to saying that. That's just another idiotic assumption that you made on your own.

I've offered to explain things to you, and that still stands, but you do need to ask nicely.

Sport.

The purpose of the playoffs is to find the four best teams and have them compete to find a winner. The best team doesn’t always win. ie: UGA is better than LSU but lost at BR. Losing to UGA wouldn’t make Bama a worse team than a Big 10 champion. I think there are probably three or four SEC teams as good or better than the best team from the Big 10.

Sweet.

We can let the committee know that the Purdue loss doesn't actually count because Ohio State is clearly the better team.

That's ridiculous.

More like 5 or 6.

No way the other 3 P5 conferences sit around and watch as 2 non conference champs make the playoffs while they sit at home.

There's nothing in the selection process that mandates winning a conference. It's not even relevant.

Because ND played 12 FBS schools and no FCS teams. As many as anyone else.
That's why Brian Kelly's can sit his arse on his couch.

There are losses...then there are embarrassing, total beat downs.

I understand if Bama makes it this year for sure if they lose this weekend, but doesn't that tell us they aren't the best team?

Did it tell you they weren't the best team last year when they lost their last game? No.

Losing on a neutral site to me says they aren't the best team in the country,

This is so fricking stupid.

Oklahoma also lost at a neutral site, by a team inferior to Georgia.

And, once again, for the umpteenth time, getting your fudge packed by a 6-6 team...home, away, or neutral...trumps either Oklahoma's loss or the potential Alabama loss to Georgia.

You may not like it, but that doesn't make it any less true.

This is equally as stupid. What if an undefeated #1-4 Ohio State, Oklahoma, Clemson, and Alabama all lost their conference championship games in December, and no other team had less than two losses?

Your team got the shite beat out of them by Purdue. THAT means you aren't one of the best four teams in the country, much less THE best team. Period. End of discussion.

If Alabama had gotten beat by Vandy by 29, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. But unlike Urban Meyer, Nick Saban doesn't let that happen.

Bama is obviously 1 of the 4 best teams...1 of 2 best actually...if this is still the criteria, Bama is in regardless of the SECC.

For sure you have to realize that beating #14 Texas is better than beating #21 Northwestern?

Losing to Texas by 3 is a helluva lot better than losing to Purdue by 29.

The committee doesn't put teams in based on best loss.

You're not this stupid as to think it isn't a major factor. It's probably the main reason why Ohio State is behind Oklahoma right now.
