Was Dyer a LSU target this year?

I think he was.

Well let me be the 1st to thank Petrino for not recruiting Dyer.

There is not a RB on Arky's campus that is even close to what Dyer is and will be. It was adumb move on the coahces part and this is just more spin.

a whole thread just for an excuse... nice arky

I think the piglets should start an excuse thread for all the highly rated players they missed out on. It is not easy to be a mid-level SEC program and sign a class ranked in the 40's or so in the recruiting rankings (wherever Arky wound up).

I have watched Dyer play in person, you're not going to be happy when you realize he played in the 5A, not 6A, not 7A, yeah 5A. We was slow for some reason his Jr. and Sr. year and ran out of bounds way to many times for my liking. I have heard rumors of injuries maybe even surgeries they kept on the DL, I really don't believe the rumors, but Dyer was not the same kid he was this Soph. year. I'm not saying that has anything to do with Ark. not pushing harder that kid, IDK I'm not on the coaching staff. The reason I believe we don't have Dyer right now is because of this. I'm sure he is a good kid, but I don't think CBP is going to give out a token scholly just to get Dyer.

Oh and here is our answer for Dyer.

We never offered him and he wanted to commit several times and Miles turned him down.
Plus neither texas or OU offered him as well and Texas has been in the need of a RB.

I hope Michael Dyer turns out well for Auburn. It doesn't break my heart one bit that he didn't choose Arkansas. Honestly, I don't think most Arkansans think he's as talented as he or Auburn thinks he is.
I had much more faith and hope in Felix Jones and Ronnie Wingo as 4*s than I have with Dyer.

I honestly think Dyer is overrated.
Look, we didn't pursue Dyer very hard. That was Dyer's public complaint about Petrino from the get-go.
This article simply backs that up.
For better or for worse, no, we weren't hot and heavy after Michael Dyer.

Dennis Johnson laughs at this.

Petrino also knew Dyer had two hush-hush ankle surgeries as well, one of them botched requiring the second.
