You had a stop sign, he didn't. He had the right-of-way. he has no duty to stop and let you go. You, however, do have a duty to wait until the intersection is clear before pulling into it. You didn't follow the laws of the road and caused an accident.

Why wouldn't you stop for someone that is waiting on you? Well, considering he didn't have stop sign, why would he think you're waiting on him. YOU had the stop sign.

"Blew the stop sign" could mean a number of things. Could mean that you didn't stop at all. Could mean that you stopped and proceeded anyways.
Either way, this is all on you.

if that other car wasnt there the accident wouldn’t have happned
