Plus, the tremendous experience they've dreamed of for most of their lives becomes reality!

The traditionalist hatred of a playoff expansion is so odd. Literally every sport has a legitimate playoff system even FCS level college football. But for whatever reason FBS is the magical unicorn that’s so different from anything else despite that not making an iota of sense. Just people who don’t like change and think the system they grew up on is perfection

FCS level players aren’t going to the NFL.

Do you honestly believe FCS is the same as FBS? There is a reason one is a billion dollar business ethic huge TV contracts and the other is not.

You can now believe in unicorns.

Bowls used to mean something and were a reward for teams that did well. That stopped being true 20-30 yrs ago. At one time in the 80's the entire top 25 didn't even make a bowl game...now almost 3/4 of all FBS teams make a bowl. What a joke.

The playoff should be an 8 team deal, would only add 1 game to the eventually champions total games, and there would not be any byes, it would be 1v8, 2v7, 3v6 and 4v5 in the first round... Winners play each other, ect until we get a Champion..

Now clue why they insist on a 12 team playoff, other than $$$...

Not a fan of 16. 12 (with the 4 byes) leaves some incentive on the regular season... you have to be one of the top 4 conference champs to get a bye. Without the byes, it takes away more regular season importance (not a lot of difference between #4 and #16) and put zero importance on winning a CCG.

yeah, to hell with who actually DESERVES to be a national champion, that's irrelevant! Let's just do what makes the most money!

If you’re the best team in the country it won’t matter who you play? Are you scared to play more teams? Every level of football/sports has true playoff system. And for some reason everyone is ok with other sports playoffs or high school and FCS, but heaven forbid FBS has an actual playoff with more than 4 teams.

The byes incentivize winning the conference. If a team (like UGA the last 2 seasons) would be in the playoff win or lose with their CCG, the incentive is to rest players, not go all out to win.

But with a first round bye on the line in a 12 team playoff? It matters a lot more. So does winning the regular season games needed to make the CCG.

That's why only conference champs can get byes in the 12 team playoff proposal.

DESERVES to be a national champion,

Just because you deserve to be in playoffs, doesn’t make you the best team. Winning it on the field is more deserving than some “self righteous” claims to something.
Cincinnati deserved to be in last year, and Ohio State and TCU deserve it also this year. But we all know Ohio State and TCU don’t really stand a chance. Hell there are teams not in the playoffs right now that would be favorites over Ohio State and TCU.

Kyle Juszczyk
Ross Dwelley
Christian Watson
Cameron Brate
I can keep going but I think you get the hint. Not only do FCS players get drafted every year. But there are players I listed that are in the Hall of Fame, Won Super Bowls, Won MVP’s, and Selected All Pro and to Pro Bowls.

So FCS can do it, NFL can do it, high school can do it, but for some reason FBS can’t do it.

Hate this expansion shite. I'd rather just go back to the BCS.
