SOURCE: For Big 12 teams their schedule is expected to open up with a non-conference opponent that would either be on Sept. 12 or the Sept 19. The conference schedule will begin Sept. 26. Formal announcement will happen in a few hours.

I wonder how the contracts work with these bowls to the conferences. My guess is they have an out if the conference doesn’t have a bowl eligible team available.

Has to be force majeure provisions in most, if not all.
