The Big 12 has always played each conference game.... for years.

Has Aggy played Georgia this decade?

Congrats on getting to play Iowa St, Kansas, & Kansas State yearly. I’m sure those games are huge.

It’s not even the quality of opponent... it’s the gaming of the system in a way to nullify or avoid a guaranteed 7 extra losses in the conference.... keep up

This is why the SEC is considered the best conference every year, you might be onto something here!

It also games the system by adding 7 extra wins.

Quality of opponent matters. Does it make sense for A&M to add another game like Georgia, Florida, or Mizzou when it already plays Bama, Clemson, LSU, Mississippi St, Kentucky, South Carolina, Auburn?

I always thought playing 9 conference games against the bigxii was gaming the system and an easier path than every conference but the packxii.

It is barely tougher than UCF which explains why the bigxii gets shite on in the postseason.

The SEC really should move to 9 conference games, it needs a tougher SOS:

8 SEC teams higher in SOS than the highest Big 12 team

Oh, well, guess not

In case you missed it, baylor, a middle of the pack team in the lesser 12 went in dry on one of your middle of the pack teams. I mean they absolutely split them open worse than any sec team had done all year.

So a 7 point win over Vandy is going in dry?

Why would you play an extra conference game? Because it means more. Farmersonly.com sounds scayod

A&M has the #1 SOS. WTF are you rambling on about?

USING SOS is the reason for this thread. Scheduling less conference games improves SOS for the entire conference.... especially for the middle of the pack teams. You are literally making my point

So seven points wins are a form of domination in the Big 12?

Interesting.

By definition, adding an extra conference game does not equal a tougher schedule.

It equals more of the same.
Vandy was 11th out of 14 SEC teams this year. That isn't good. That isn't tough. It is below average. And scheduling them more often hurts strength of schedule for our conference (doesnt help it).

Adding a conference game hurts SOS when there are 2-3 great teams and garbage the rest of the way....

Why are you defending less conference games? It ruins the product

You cant be this stupid, scheduling Citadel in November makes the SOS better than playing a conference game?

You do realize you dont get MORE credit playing a much worse team even if you win than playing a much better team, right? You understand how SOS works? It's opponent W/L plus opponent's opponent W/L.
