Do you guys really think Arky's prolific passing attack under Petrino had nothing to do with Davis' success?
Seriously if Davis was SC's starting RB do you think his stats would even approach what he has done at Arky?

sure...cause he'd be getting 50+ more touches than he gets now.
You act like Latt is Bo and Davis is Keiland Willams

But without the linemen and passing attack of Arky that teams game plan around.

Davis came off an injury and the death of his father in his freshman campaign...just fyi
He had the benefit of Fall workouts, playing time in 12 games freshman year, bowl workouts, Spring training before his sophomore campaign. Huge learning process right there.
BTW I do not feel Knile takes a back seat to Lattimore. I will say again it would have been really fun to see an always healthy Davis play.

imho the two are quite comparable in terms of talent.
Davis is more explosive and Lattimore is more of a bellcow who can take a beating.

Lets just line em up and let them run for the title of top back

We don't know, and playing the hypothetical game is a ridiculous approach and doesn't accomplish anything. I can play it, too!
What if Knile didn't take half a season to learn that he needs to be patient for holes to open up? If he put similar numbers for the first half of the season as he did the second half he would have ran for 2000 yards and 20+ TDs. Remember that one guy named Darren McFadden? Knile's numbers would have crushed his in both of his Heisman-worthy seasons. Knile actually had his best games in the half of the season where he played the best overall defenses.
If Knile performed the same way all season in 2010, would there even be talk that Knile and Marcus are on even planes?
You see? Another silly hypothetical.
I go off of actual results, because that's all we really have. Those results show that, when healthy, Knile was a more successful rusher than Marcus, and did so against better defenses. That is a fact. You can try to spin it all you want, but it is simply you trying to spin it. Also, to allude to Knile's success coming from our passing attack is not only an insult to Knile and his incredible work ethic, but also to the coaches and defenses he played against that were preparing to play against him. You obviously didn't watch the Sugar Bowl or you would have seen that they talked about Knile more than any other Arkansas player before the game, even Mallett. His recent success was well known, so don't try to act like it was some lucky fluke that he did well.

You guys still arguing over second best?

Arbitrarily focusing on just SEC games? check.
Arbitrarily alluding to ypg as the ultimate decider in who is better? check.
Comparing seasons where one guy was the feature back and the other was 3rd/4th string? check.
They realistically have one season to viably compare to each other, and that was 2010. Both played the entire season, and both were feature backs (well in regards to Knile he was for a good portion of the season, but it's the best we got).

Fluker is a marginal 1st round prospect just by the fact he plays RT. The perception is he has slow feet but DJ actually acquitted himself well in pass pro this year. Not saying he has 1st round feet but he is better in that department than people give him credit for.

That was a horrible mock draft. Jarvis Jones way overrated. Mingo will be the 1st defensive player taken from the SEC. Montgomery and Lemonier are too small for DE and are not fluid enough athletes to excel at OLB like Mingo.
Fluker and Warmack both will be drafted before Barret Jones, unless he dominates at C this year. Cyrus if draft eligible would be taken 1st of the 4. This is a ridiculous talented line.
LSU could have a ridiculous draft. One of the best all time. Even with Montgomery and Mathieu not going as high. Simon, Reid, and Logan will go higher than projected.
