Because the NCAA is not just going on someone's word. They have to have evidence other than testimony to support an allegation. They have that in his allegation regarding ole miss and they don't in his allegation regarding MSU. Could they find it on MSU if they wanted to? Yea probably so. They aren't burning that bridge though.

You don't think LEO who ended up at state, who you know still gets under the table benefits from the source who gave them to him when he signed couldn't give the ncaa evidence to prove he was paid? And why would they need evidence? Why would a kid snitch on his own school and make it up? They are going to hammer OM on a text message that, while yes, we all know what it means, but never mentions a payment.

This is all we are saying. They just released an article about being guardian of the game and its all bullshite.

So give your reasoning as to why they as it says verbatim in the transcripts, "find athlete 39's allegations against redacted school non-credible" but find it credible against OM, when he ended up at state and snitched on his own school?

I wonder how MSU fans feel about Leo accusing MSU of paying him when there is apparently no evidence to support that claim. Strange that he would put his school under such a bad light.

You act like it is the Leo allegation that is going to get you hammered. That is only one of many dude. Just bend over and quit asking for a reach around already. Geez.

Of course he could. I'm not in disagreement. I have no doubt that Leo got paid to go to State. I'm just telling you that State's not getting in trouble for it, just like your players who took Sherrill down didn't get your school in trouble. It is what it is. Stop recruiting outside your realistic range and you won't have the NCAA doing this shite to you.

The first part is reasonable, the second part is just stupid. OM got busted because they recruited a kid who had his hand out the whole time from Mississippi while under investigation. That and stupidity with the staff. Not because of two top 10 classes. That got OM attention yes, but Freeze being a dick to Sheridan and stupid on twitter plus msu being a bunch of snitches is what has screwed us.

And all the msu fans so obsessed with OM's problems they wrote books both literal and figuratively on message boards. Little bro gonna little bro.

Things Dodd is claiming in this one article:

1. Leo Lewis and Ricky Seals-Jones were both offered in excess of half a million dollars to play college football.
2. Both Leo Lewis and Ricky Seals-Jones (and/or their families/handlers) turned down that much money.
3. Coaches gather boosters and tell them what games to bet on during the season to finance their 'recruiting budget'.

ok, Dodd.

Top level recruits get paid. Not nearly in the amounts he's claiming here. And definitely not via the avenue he outlined.

And the Leo Lewis situation of allegedly getting paid by multiple schools is MUCH more common than some of these talking heads pretend. In fact, that's actually how it does work. You toss a little money around to guys you know aren't going to come to your school. Most schools have certain territories "covered" by certain "bag men", and it's usually a steady stream of smaller payments over the course of their entire recruitment. I highly doubt anyone is cutting 6-figure checks to a recruit's family these days.

Ole Miss got busted because they were recruiting outside of their realistic range. If you don't think those big time players you signed got a shite ton of money to go to Ole Miss I've got some beach front property in Indianapolis to sell you. Just because an agency like the NCAA with no subpoena power didn't find what they needed with other big time recruits doesn't mean that it didn't happen. The NCAA knew this and stayed until they found what they wanted. They stayed because they knew you had no business recruiting that well. Your school's arrogance is what got you where you are. Not Leo Lewis. Not Dan Mullen. Not Steve Robertson. Not Dan Wolken.

Also, stop saying that MSU snitched on you. The NOA clearly states that another institution turned you in.

The NCAA made it clear that they didn't believe one word his mother said.

Nor did they believe what Leo said about taking money from MSU. Just what he said about OM, the school he didn't end up at.

Leo's mama destroyed her own credibility with the $650,000 claim.

If LSU paid its players that much we would have had at least one recruited QB the past 10 years who wasn't bad to mediocre at best.

A Georgia and a Purdue transfer are the best quarterbacks we've had since Ryan Perriloux. You'd Think in a decade we'd have been able to get at least one to campus.

No, they didn't say that at all. They said they didn't believe anything from momma. They also said they found corroborating evidence supporting the OM claims, which is why they are going before the COI. They did not take Lewis at his word.

Claims about MSU are a different issue. If supporting evidence exists to support those statements, MSU will have a problem too. MSU has said they were investigated and cleared. If that is true it may simply mean they are better at cheating than OM.
