Speaking of a Mackey, State is very high on 4* JUCO DE Leon Mackey's list and is probably the top team for 3* Rayville, LA DE Quenton Griffin. Our DE depth now and the future makes me all wooly.

i'd say, though, that it seems like rayville has a knack in recent years for producing kids that aren't exactly brain surgeons or rocket scientists so it makes it less of a sure thing that they qualify
richard murphy (was a close call, but got cleared very late)
chris tolliver (qualified, but people thought he could've been a sign-and-place guy)
d'monteal wilson (o-lineman signed with lsu and didn't qualify)
kenny bell (at bama, switched from lsu at the last minute on NSD)

mullen typically doesn't offer boderline types, there's a pretty damn good LB in Indiana who would commit on the spot to State but his grades are shite. we've only had two academic casualties since he was hired and both were OOS.

yea but then dez's mom would be out prostituting on south stadium drive on game days
