5 SEC Playoff Teams

OU (lost)
All but 1 or all 5 will end their season with a frustrating loss. Could be refs. Could be coaches. Could be players. But all 4 or 5 will have a loss to end season. It sucks. Thats the life of a fan.
Only good for OU is twofold. We got roughly $16M in gate revenue not counting concessions. After expenses thats a lot of extra money to put back into program. Having a home playoff game is good for money reasons. Its a strange quirk but only teams 5-8 get that 1 home game in all of playoffs.
If you don’t win it all then go out early. Reason being is the transfer portal is only open from 2-16 Jan 2026. Thats it for the year. Going out now allows us to shift focus on portal and players to keep. More planning time. Can interview players and get your financials lined up who you will pay to stay and pay to get. Can push some to portal. Get a head start compared to other playoff teams making final 8 or better.
I think its dumb they don’t wait to open portal until natty is played. But it helps those not going far or not in. They can really look at roster and start finding free agents to fill holes.
Of course I’d rather win and make the title game but there are some advantages to bowing out early. All the trash talkers will be in the same position except possibly one team.
No excuses either. We lost and will regroup and be ready again next year. Same will play out for the other 3 or 4 SEC teams.

4 game playoff, 2 from B1G and 2 from SEC, would give you the same result as a 12-16 game playoff 95% of the time

You were and are the worst Bama poster of all. Most are legit good posters. But you whined and whined for weeks that more yards equals a win. It was full on melting for weeks.
OU out gained Bama last night and not one OU poster has made the same claim. We got beat thats it. No one is using yards as any moral victory like you did. Losing sucks and we lost.
But I can’t wait for Bama to lose and watch you go full melt mode again. You give their fanbase a bad rep. I’m not going to pull receipts but you melted bad. And I mean bad.

You should have led with that and stopped at that. We had a better season than most were expecting. We lost a game at home in the playoffs. Life goes on.

Why you gotta lie? I repeatedly congratulated Oklahoma on their win.
When it comes to yards gained, that was about team strength. It's not my fault you're too stupid to understand things beyond the scoreboard to analyze how things went and how you expect the team to play in the future.
Alabama won last night because of turnovers and special teams - see how easy it is to admit.
