DELUSIONS
It's not out and out "fixing" per se, so you don't need to keep anyone quiet. It's more like gambling at a casino, you can win, but the house has the game set up to give them an inherent advantage. In order to win you must overcome that advantage... In the case of SEC football, especially if it's Tom Ritter's crew, the "house" is Alabama. You have to be 2 scores better, because if it's close the house will get paid.

Nonetheless, it isn't much of an argument and we couldn't say if it would have drastically changed the outcome of the game as improbable as it turned out
You realize that saved Bama 40 seconds, right?

I keep seeing this posted but I don't think it's the case? I thought Alabama used their TO anyway.
They had all three and used them all on LSU's 1st, 2nd and 3rd downs.

Actually, Bama had to use all 3 TOs down there. They had no TOs on the final drive.

actually it was a 1st and 10 from the 17 not a first and goal which is completely different.
and if you look at the replay of the alexander penalty the flag wasn't even thrown by the ref that was the closest and had the best view of the incident.

One thing remains true, Death Valley is an insane place to play a road game and any SEC team is lucky to stay alive after a visit
Actually, that isn't true at all. In fact, LSU is lucky to stay alive after Alabama visits.
I mean, you can try to wash away 119 years of history and keep repeating that any SEC team is extremely lucky to win there but, it's just not true.
