Considering you lost all 4 of your top DL from this past season, yeah thats it. Reject the top DL prospect in the state and a top 250 national prospect.

Nutt didn't reject him. He wanted him, he just couldn't fit in the numbers crunch. Grant above Jones on the list just based on the sole fact he is more physically developed and can give us immediate help in a position of need. We would have taken Jones regardless but Brassell, Whitehead, Johnson, Mason, and Cooper are players Nutt thinks are either needed more or talented enough to take regardless. I would love to have PJ, it just didn't work out and hope he does well in Starkville.

Well said and my feelings exactly. I hope PJ tears it up except for 1 day a year.

Why is it State does really good getting OL and DL players whil Ole Miss does better at getting WRs and DBs???

Good post and I pretty much agree, although I was thinking PJ had been leaning towards State before Singleton and the others turned towards OM earlier this month. (and you don't have Whitehead quite yet) Nutt probably didn't want PJ in Oxford recruiting for MSU.

We still have OUR wildcard, though. Just you wait.

Top 3 if you count Martin, Bennett and Thompson. I guess State got Eulles (sp?) and he is in that group too but 3 of the top 4 in the state ain't bad.
