Wait so he wanted to go to OM but we 'rejected' him and pushed to State rather than Arky?

So I guess Hooten really does call all the shots

Considering he's a "monkey with a whistle" and an idiot, he sure is a devious bastard with the master plots.

Considering you lost all 4 of your top DL from this past season, yeah thats it. Reject the top DL prospect in the state and a top 250 national prospect.

There are certain 'untouchable' prospects who have a spot no matter what (CJ, Brassel, etc). Apparently Jones wasn't one of them and missed his chance

I guess you could say that if you look at recruiting rankings.

However the game is played on the field and not on paper, and on the field Mullen has beaten Nutt twice in a row.

Some jucos work out some don't. What else can we say? Dude was rated high and has impressive specs but wasn't near ready for SEC ball.

Speaking of Nutt and recruiting, a good source of mine said that Nutt was in South Mississippi yesterday recruiting a QB prospect in the class of 2012.

I know he was on the gulf coast recruiting Long Beach and Gport.

Not sure who the qb prospect is though. I know Anthony Alford from Petal is a player but I have heard from some of his baseball coaches he could easily get drafted and say Hollaatchaboi.

It was indeed Alford who Nutt was visiting. I have been hearing that Tyrone Nix is recruiting him hard, however like you said the baseball money is going to be hard to turn down.

Alford is expected to be a high first round pick in the 2012 draft.

Yeah both Petal and OG have two of the best HS stadiums in the State.

Brett sure does like it.

But yea, those 2 stadiums are very very nice. Petal's EZ seating is what's so nice to me, with that canopy and all. Gross.

Petal and Oak Grove are in the same district next year along with Hattiesburg and Meridian.

I saw Petal's schedule and its LOADED. They play Wayne County, Picayune, Brookhaven, and Madison Central in non region games.

I also saw where Oak Grove is playing Sumrall

When I was playing at HHS back in 2001, our district was: HHS, OG (their first year in 5A), Petal (ditto), Gulfport, Moss Point, Meridian, Wayne County(powe, akeem lofton, Gandy, Mcglaughlin) and Brandon (norwood's sr year). It was roughhh
