not on here a lot so haven't seen the other posts, just caught the 30 for 30 on espnu. but we didn't want to integrate when Bear said we should. can't remember the exact situation but it was something about how bear wanted black players if A&M wanted to win and the administration said no.
but espn didnt make a film about it so its not as big of a deal
And?
Bear set up games against SC who had a black QB to show the bama faithful it was time to integrate, the whipping they took on the field convinced them.
He wasn't a prejudiced man.

my point is that ole miss isn't the only school with race as a negative part of history, and showed an example of my own school doing such things

This topic is old. Yes we did stupid shite that all other Deep South states did. It's past, the riot was like 5 dumbass freshmen, and now Meridith walks through the grove and everyone stops to take a picture with him. Talking about it just opens up old wounds that doesn't help anything.

Your obsession with me is humorous.
I know, I know....deep down, you know you support a third rate school. It's ok. Let it out.

I don't understand what point you are trying to make, it is common knowledge of the racial tension and issues that mired the south, which includes Texas btw, during the 1950s-1960s in regards to the desegration of public schools.
If you are looking for a "point", you are missing it as it isn't a school issue, it was largely a political issue and a resistance to change...
If you will research the occurrences of these riots and incidents you will learn that for the most part they occur from outside influences, not from the student bodies themselves because again these were political issues at the time and the universities became focal points for outsiders to gather and as they say the rest is history...

The national guard came to OM in 2012? News to me.

I believe the riot in question here is the James Merideth riot from the 60's not this year.

The fact that you support Mississippi State College completely proves your stupidity on a scale that can't be understood by anyone other than another dumbassed State College fan.
What championship did Mullen claim with the big win over Jackson State this year?

Shouldn't matter... TSUN is too racist to schedule a HBCU so it's a moot argument..

Where in the hell in that quote is the election riot mentioned? Where in this thread is the election riot mentioned? The answer is nowhere to both. He fricked up and is now backtracking.

The fact that you have to refer to MSU as State College proves your stupid obsession of MSU.

After I said, " Its's past". It's meaning our racial past. If I would have left it alone someone would have brought up the election riot as an argument to that. I was stoping the argument before it started. Which obviously went way over your head.
