yea, we will have an occasional west coast, midwest team in the hunt, but basically it's a southern dominated game. Big ten and ND will contend, but that's about it.

South Carolina literally started the civil war.

Best recruits. Look at past National Champs.
I would be willing to bet Oh St gets most of its players from the south.

Hate to play devil's advocate but I do not believe further regionalization of CFB is a good thing.

I think it's a good thing.

Go back to school, leghumper. North Carolina was split from South Carolina in 1712. It was formerly the Abermarle Province of Carolina. The southern portion of Carolina was called the Clarendon Province.
Georgia was a part of the Carolina Charter of 1663. NC was originally a part of SC too. 1712 did not precede 1663.....

Anyone with a banjo and a spittoon in their living room agrees with you.
The rest of us will start watching more NFL....where they have central control of scheduling and dont rely on a secret meeting of 13 people to determine the post season.

Dummass......South Carolina created the Deep South. Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and parts of Louisiana and Florida were originally part of South Carolina. The South started with us....
That's more or less true, depending on how you define "Deep South."
The planters who went to Charleston from the Indies kind of set the pattern for Deep South 1.0.
There was another related group that spread out from the Tidewater area in Virginia. But they kind of disappeared over time.
Then we have the actual Scotch Irish who basically set the pattern for Tennesse, West By God, Texas, Arkansas, and highland portions of a lot of other states, including the "Deep South."
Colin Woodard has a great history of all this in American Nations. It is a great book until it gets to the 20th century, where he lets his SJW nature take flight, and he lets everyone know that Massachusetts was a light unto the world.
Oh yeah, and the South has always done the Devil's Work, in contrast to the Angels of New England and the areas that took their cue from them (like the Pacific Northwest).

The rest of the country gets to watch Dabo, Smart, Saban - who all have Alabama ties compete for the title.

I'll give them one legit year in year out player with tOSU.
The rest are one hit wonders in peak years that get destroyed come playoff time.
