Chadd Scott has covered SEC football on radio and on-line for over 20 years. After graduating with a journalism degree from Auburn University, Scott embarked on career in sports radio that featured stops at WJOX in Birmingham, 790 the Zone and 680 the Fan in Atlanta, ESPN Radio and 1010XL Jacksonville where he currently resides. Scott helped launch “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd while at ESPN Radio, working with Cowherd as his producer for three years. Scott’s writing can be described as provocative, positive and personnel, often using experiences from his own life to make his points and looking for opportunities to comment on the intersection of sports and society. Scott was quoted by the Los Angeles Times in a feature story the paper ran about the Auburn-Alabama rivalry. He is the co-author of a book on business innovation, Saving Innovation. He remains an unabashed supporter of the Bowl Championship Series.
An extremely unimpressive resume.

His entire claim to fame was working for Cowherd, then he worked with the 680 guys until he went on a twitter tirade about Delta and subsequently got fired.

I can't believe it's been over 5 years since he got axed by 680. I miss listening to his updates even though he sounds awkward on the radio.

First point, Chadd is terrible. He's been fired from pretty much every gig he's ever had.
Second - No Jamelle Holieway. List is shite.

Don't forget about Tim Prescott.

Predictions don’t work that way, however, and despite the odds, if I had to pick one team which I think will win the SEC before the first game kicks off, I’m sticking with Auburn.
None of my reasons for thinking this will surprise you. My prediction rests not on what I think might happen, but what I expect to happen.
I expect Jeremy Johnson’s productivity to be greater than Nick Marshall’s. Marshall had a disappointing 2014 and Johnson’s passing abilities are far superior.
I expect Will Muschamp’s arrival to make a tremendous difference for Auburn’s defense. The highest paid coordinator in college football should generate dramatic and immediate results.
I expect that defensive improvement to be further bolstered by the return of Carl Lawson, who I expect to be an all-conference performer, and by Byron Cowart who I expect to be a difference maker from Day 1. As the second and first ranked prospects nationally in their respective recruiting classes, no one would argue they don’t possess the talent to achieve this.
I expect D’haquille Williams to play like the best wide receiver in the SEC and perhaps the nation. I have stated numerously that he is the most talented wide receiver to ever play at Auburn.
I expect JUCO-transfer running back Jovon Robinson to seamlessly replace Cameron Artis-Payne. Whispers about Robinson’s jaw-dropping off-season exploits encourage me to think Auburn will not miss the conference’s leading rusher from a season ago.

Well to be fair, Auburn was favored by pretty much everyone to win the SEC last year.

Auburn gets their "Carlness" back
quote:
Perhaps because I’m writing this at 11:45 PM ET after a long day’s work and am a little punchy, but what I find most encouraging about the team’s 30-27 victory can best be summarized stealing a word from the 2006 comedy “You, Me and Dupree” staring Owen Wilson and Matt Dillon.
The word is “Carlness.” Auburn’s offense found the “Carlness” it had lost. This alone makes me optimistic about the remainder of 2015.
What is “Carlness?”
“Carlness” is the unique mixture of attributes which makes the “Dupree” character played by Wilson admire the Carl character played by Dillon. It’s his essence.
Auburn’s “Carlness” is Gus Malzahn’s offense. It’s tempo, it’s rushing the football, it’s throwing the ball deep, it’s slight of hand in the backfield. We saw all of that Thursday night for the first time this season. For the first time this season, Auburn football looked like Gus Malzahn football.
Auburn rediscovered its “Carlness” in Lexington.
Four hundred and seven total yards. One hundred and fifty-two rushing yards on 47(!) attempts. Big pass plays down field. No turnovers. A misdirection play with Kerryon Johnson taking a shotgun snap that completely fooled Kentucky leading to the second touchdown.
“Carlness.”

Also true of the list is that almost every one of those QBs peaked in college. Only Elway can be mentioned in the same breath.

Dear Fans,
I would like to nominate Treon Harris for the list of QB's better than Peyton Manning.
Treon was undefeated against the University of Tennessee. This is no small accomplishment. The University of Tennessee, as I've mentioned before, has expertly represented our conference in the off-season championship pursuit for several decades now and for any quarterback to go undefeated against a rival like that, that deserves recognition. I think all of us can agree to that.
So, I respectfully submit Treon Harris for consideration to be placed on this list.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Foley

JaMarcus Russell may be the biggest bust in NFL history but even he was a better college QB than Young.

Russell 493/797 61.9% 6625 YDS 55 TD 21 INT
