Alabama fans who can't seem to get enough coverage of the upcoming BCS National Championship Game are in luck this weekend. As part of ESPN's build-up to Monday night's rematch between No. 1 LSU and No. 2 Alabama, ESPNU will air a 23-hour marathon of programming focused solely on the Tide and Tigers beginning Sunday night at 7 p.m. CDT.

There was an Auburn poster who said this was the least hyped championship game in history.

After ESPN had live news feed from helicopters following team buses into News Orleans.

I just hope Espn don't Tebow Bama and LSU. Ya know, they get so much coverage that the rest of the country starts to hate them, just like Tebow.

Edit: or Jeff Gordon. Same deal

frick, am I the only one who read the title and thought it meant that ESPN Classic would be showing a 23 hour marathon of classic LSU/Alabama games? Who gives a frick what some douchebags at ESPN says about the game?

Me. WTF does a game played in 1970 have to with the 2012 BCSCG?

Bama played LSU in 1970? I thought CFB history started in 2003.

23 hours of replays of november 5th... Bama losing, Bammers crying, little troll screaming and crushing tiny little headsets in his tiny angry little hands?

Easy - we'll concede it started earlier if you concede it didn't end in 1983, fair enough?

I'm so glad I'll be on the ground in NO and not be subjected to the coverage.

2002 Sugar Bowl after the 2001 season.
Beat Illinois 47-34.

Began Full Swag Mode that night.

Dom Davis scored four TD's. Davey topped 400 yards passing and Reed had 200+ yards receiving.

Tigers haven't really looked back since then.

9-3 record against Bama started in 2000.

You could go with either year.

Saban will be streaming it in the Bama players rooms nonstop the way he did Gladiator for the 2001 Peach Bowl.

Will have tooth picks propping open their eyes.
