I guess they missed Ole Miss and Missouri recruiting class and transfer portal class. Mizzou will be much better based on the team getting from the transfer portal and the players from last year's team. Losing Cook is not a problem. Should be an upgrade and wide receiver, a push or maybe an upgrade. Then Drinkwitz got OLs and DLs and other pieces. The roster is actually better than last year's roster.
Ole Miss doesn't have a great class either, they aren't even in the top10. They have the 14th rated class. They were bringing in top5 classes when Freeze was cheating there.
Missouri has the 17th rated class. You have more 3 star recruits than you do 4 stars.
This is including both HS recruits and transfers.

Why do you make things up?
2012 #48
2013 #8
2014 #15
2015 #17
2016 #5
Freeze had one top 5 class, his very last one.
All while cheating like crazy.

Ohio State is losing 16 starters and Oregon is losing 18
What's the justification for their ranking?
Texas also has too many ?'s to be #1
And Clemson is severely underrated. They bring back everyone and run a scheme that matches up well with everyone except Georgia. They should be top 5 at worst and might be my #1, Klubnik should also be a pre-season heisman favorite

Seems like I was pretty damn close consider you did have a top5.

Either way, I don't get the hype for Kiffin.
2022: #15
2023: #17
2024: #17
2025: #14
That's Ole Miss recruiting over the past 4 years. That is counting both HS recruits and transfers.

Drinkwitz went 5-5, 6-7, 6-7 then boom11-2. then 9-3 plus the last couple recruiting classes were way better than that. pick up eight 4* on the average. The transfer portal has helped Drinkwitz get some key players. needed players. I am seeing just 2 losses. This coming season. No way we take a step back with an injured starting quarterback for some of the games that cost Mizzou the game. The next quarterback shall be much better. That alone will help with the offense being much better. going 9-3 last year and now should do one better and go 10-2. Let's just wait and see how it goes by late Summer and see where the roster is set and who are the coaches on each team. I feel this will be a good year to go 10-2.

It's because he's a better on the field coach than Freeze.
The records scream it out loud to anyone paying attention.
Kiffin has won 10 games in 3 out of the last four years.
Freeze managed 1 ten win season then fell back to a losing record the next year.
Maybe Freeze can do better with AU recruiting actual top 10 classes. So far, he's a bust.

I just think you guys are getting hyped up over On3's transfer portal rankings, but they aren't all that meaningful.
These rankings do show things like Missouri is losing players rated around and average of 66, while gaining an average of 79. So that's a pretty big increase, and a somewhat decent average.
However, all those average 66 players are the same players they rated higher previously, they have been downgraded since they were recruited at Missouri. And this is happening across every school, not just Missouri. Happens at Alabama also.
And then you combine that with clickbait titles like saying you got a 5 star Georgia DL. However, he too was downgraded to a 4 star just like many of your exits. Still a great pick up I'm sure, but not quite the hyped player he once was.
Some improve on the transfer ratings, but those are usually the ones from smaller schools that transfer into bigger names. Like the CB you got from Wazzu.
But in the end, what's going to matter is that overall. And I just see you guys as maintaining rather than gaining with the focus on training.
Of course this is all assuming the recruiting ratings mean shite, but it's all we have to go on.

I would definitely take Kiffin over Freeze, so that's not what I meant.

I was just talking about recruiting hype. Ole Miss has recruited better.

Good teams lose many starters every year. Alabama was constantly starting a few true freshman.
They are just some random peoples rankings really and it's just click bait. You can go make your own "Way too early top25" rankings and they'll be just as valid as this stupid crap.

You're just confused as to why Ole Miss and Mizzou fans are positive about our programs.
We have coaches that have a track record of "coaching them up."
Our coaches have been winning 9/10 games without top 5 classes.
Therefore, we ain't too worried about the wheels falling off.
I mean, this is Kiffins best HS class so far I think. Are we supposed to be upset when he's already shown the ability to win 10/11 games with less on paper talent?

On paper. The one top 5 class we signed never even got on campus to play.
I'll take a top 20 class that shows up and plays over a top 10 class that never gets on campus.

Most will be in the rotation. That is why he got them not mainly to be the starter. I am happy overall what the HC and staff have done so far. Only got 17 from HS. Reason for that is transfer portal is what he wanted to get experience players to play right away and be either as a starter, back up or rotational player. Have you look up Mizzou roster from 3 years ago? Only like 4 4* players right now there are a lot more and better players since. Even the quarterback is an upgrade over cook. He did a great job with limited talent. That is why we Mizzou fans are very happy with the outcome so far this recruiting class and transfer portal. Depth and good backup weren't there and now it is there and will make a huge impact this coming season.

OU has more upside
Ou should at the very least improve. They lost 5 of their top 6 receivers mid season. Everyone will look terrible if you wipe away that much of a single position group
Its amazing that some of our own fans can’t see that. Add in a failed OC, who got fired. A failed 5* QB who panicked and fumbled. A banged up oline. You could not ask for a worse set of circumstances combined with year 1 in SEC and facing one of the hardest schedules in America.
We’ll be much improved. And we might still have a top notch DC to come as well.

This is garbage. Ohio State is losing their entire roster.

What a tough slate Mizzou has for non conference.
