UF off to another slow start. The only team not under par today. 11 pars and a bogey.
Arizona State lighting it up early at -5 today through their first 4 holes.

I think with the top teams teeing off early there will be a lot more people in the red today.
Of the 15 teams already on the course, only 1 is over par so far.

Auburn and Ole Miss hot right now. Both at 6 under.
Man I wish it were televised.

AU (-6 today) has tied OU, and Arizona State (-8 today) has passed them both to take the lead on the back 9 of round 2.

OU made hay on the front 9 Fri, I expected some struggles on back 9 today. Once they all get to front 9 they should start doing better.

Arizona State just killing it today. (-10) and they have just made the turn.

So the tracker shows 6 golfers per team. There are 4 that are team scored then 1 (#5) golfing but not scored as team and then 1 (#6) that is a sub.
Is there a requirement each team has to rotate the 5 (not counting sub)? OU had a golfer yesterday that was in the 5 slot and today is in the scoring slot (part of the top 4 on the tracker).
I ask because yesterday the 5th golfer didn’t do well yesterday and today as part of the 4 he’s not doing that great. What are the rules on each day and switching out players, is it required that of each teams top 5 they must all do at least 1 (or 2) rounds of the first 3 rounds?

No requirement. It's just the best 4 rounds from each team score.

So the 5 golfing are active participants but of those 5 they take 4 best?

Right. Just means that 1 player having a shitty day can't ruin the day for the team.

Vandy quietly having a nice round. Back to even overall with (-6) today.

Sundevils having themselves a day. 10 under.

They destroyed the course today with -11. That's impressive.
Is there a cut in this tourney?

Yes. After the 3rd round the top 15 advance.

Full structure of the tournament. All teams compete in the first 3 rounds of stroke play.
After that only the top 15 advance to round 4.
After the 4th round the top 8 advance to match play, which is a single elimination tournament. The seeding for match play is determined by the final score following the 4th round.

I just read that BYU played their “3rd” round on Thursday because they don’t play on sundays. Funky. I can’t seem to find that score anywhere, but after today’s bad round it may not matter.

Also, glad there are some folks here who follow and talk about the championship. I’ve followed it the past several years, but no big 12 forum exists like this to chat about it with others.
