Are we really at a point where auburn and bama are talking hoops before the iron bowl
That era has existed for quite a while

Should be interesting to see how this Kentucky squad comes together and where they land on the offensive efficiency end.
I think BYU finished last season reasonably high in offensive efficiency when it was said and done and Top 20 KenPom all together.
Pope put together a solid roster and is a very good offensive coach. I'm guessing it will be an elite offensive team. How good they are on the other end will determine their ceiling.
I really like that hire, think he's going to be very good there.

Let's play the games....then talk shite.
This is the same type of shite ya'll get on UT posters for when you say print the t-shirts.
SummerofGeorge was supposed to be a legit poster I thought.
SoG generally posts stats throughout the season.
I don't see anything in this as him "talking shite", just that the new KenPom ratings just dropped and Alabama is, rightfully so, ranked high in it.
As others have said, the transfer era probably makes this data pretty moot this early on because of changes in coaching, transfer portal, etc. But it's still worth a look.

I'm hoping having some guys like Lamont Butler who was MWC Defensive POY will help raise the bar on the other end and push those other guys.
Watching them move the ball instead of a lot of ISO has been fun and refreshing.

The Wildcats have a lot of depth. Mark Pope took BYU into the nation’s top conference, the Big 12, and went to the tournament with a top-25 caliber team

Returning rosters, transfers, historical data.
Much more difficult in the transfer era.
Yeah. I could see if this was the 80s-90s when teams returned most of their rosters every season. But now so many schools are pretty much starting from scratch each year. Plus, the most talented players are virtually all freshmen, with no college statistical data to rely on.
