Searching for a positive...State got run ruled twice in their 2 and Q 2021 SEC tournament appearance as a 3 seed. Then they won the CWS a month later.
ETA: Also, this tournament may be even harder than the CWS, especially if you aren't treating it as a "must win". In the past 15 years, an SEC team has either won the CWS or finished runner up 18 times.

True but a championship isn’t in our fate.
I’v le accepted that we’re Moral Victory U.
I’ll be the first to eat crow if they win a natty. Ever

Getting rid of Nate Thompson will show me DVH is serious about trying to win a natty before he retires. Until then, we're fricked with Thompson here

Even my mother thinks we’ll go 0-2 next week and she’s the most positive person alive.

Is it possible to look good going 0-2? I've never seen us do it.

Hogs avoid the double play and get a run in. Still 2 in scoring position. Still a lot of game left!

Well at least it wasn't ANOTHER grand slam I suppose.
For those not listening/watching. 3 run home run for Arky with 2 out.
Kentucky now up by only 2 with still one out to go

It's been my experience on the internet that "I'll eat crow if" is always said right after saying some stupid shite.

I don't agree with either comment. Just be patient.

The SECT is largely meaningless for teams that are already hosting supers. There is no correlation between the SECT and winning a CWS. I think it matters a lot for teams trying to go from 9-16 to 1-8, and teams trying to go from a 3 to a 2. Every coach handles it differently, so it's hard to know what to take from it. There's plenty you can learn about your team though. I do put stock in LSU giving up 1 run in 2 games even though the other teams not pitching their best contributed to the wins. I don't believe in the "we're back" nonsense when playing teams pitching off. Today's game against USC will be a real competition since we are in a similar spot pitching.
Paul Mainieri used to try to win the tournament regardless of his team's spot in post season. Van Horn has never seemed to care much. Both coaches have had a ton of success in the post season. There's not a right way to do it.
